Crest Haven my family will not recommend. My dad’s room was so dirty and smelled so bad. When we called they never returned calls. My dad always complained about the food every day and since he was missing teeth they did not accommodate him with food he would want to eat so we sent him food from the outside. He passed last week and weighed very little. Crest Haven did not call ambulance when he fell from and infection from his catheter until my sister insisted he goes to hospital. After he passed my sister went to the room she could not even be in there to take his stuff because the condition and odor of room was so bad. Do not send your loved ones there!

I visited this facility looking for a place to care for my mother, and I left convinced it wasn’t somewhere I’d ever trust with a loved one.
The moment I walked in, I saw numerous elderly residents wandering the halls with no obvious supervision. The building felt chaotic, noisy, overcrowded, and surprisingly hot—as if the air conditioning wasn’t even working.
Then I used the restroom. It was one of the dirtiest restrooms I’ve seen in a healthcare facility. It honestly reminded me of a neglected bus terminal restroom, not a place responsible for caring for vulnerable seniors.
Things only got worse. My wife and I sat there for over 45 minutes, more than 30 minutes past our scheduled appointment, before deciding to walk out. No explanation. No professionalism. No respect for our time.
The entire facility lacked any sense of comfort, dignity, or security. Instead of feeling reassured that my mother would be safe, I left feeling the exact opposite.
Afterward, I read other reviews and learned that the facility has faced multiple lawsuits. That made me feel my concerns weren’t simply first impressions—they were concerns I couldn’t ignore.
South Florida has countless options for elder care. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage families to look elsewhere before trusting this facility with someone they love. I already wasted the time visitingit so you don’t have to.
