Our family is incredibly grateful to the Finnish American Rest Home for the wonderful care given to my father-in-law, Wally, during the final years of his life. He spent time in Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing, with hospital stays in between, and at every stage he was treated with kindness, warmth, and dignity. So many staff members made a difference—Katie, Katja, Crib, Jami, Nina, Cindy, and many others. I truly wish I could list every single person who helped care for him, because there were so many. From the nurses and CNAs to the therapists, doctors, coordinators, dining room staff, housekeeping, and the caregivers who helped with his daily care, everyone went above and beyond to make him comfortable. Most important of all, he was genuinely happy there. He often said, “I’m very happy here.” As a family, that meant everything to us. We never had any issues—only positive experiences. Thank you to everyone who cared for him so compassionately. We will always be thankful.

The caretaker comes 4 hours every Saturday and is a huge help to my father as she cares for my mom. We couldn't ask for a more person in Samantha. She is friendly, humble, and genuine. We had a great impression of the supervisor who does the free pre-visit. They really look out for your best interest.

A Place for Mom helped me find this place. Finnish American Village has been amazing for my elderly mother. Spacious rooms with four closets and nice big windows. Amazing staff that offers fun days out for the residents, round the clock medical care and great meals. A Con may be the Building looks a little dated but dont be fooled, they keep it maintained very well.

I want to thank the Finnish-American Village for the wonderful care they provided for my mom. The CNA's who took care of her daily needs, the nurses who monitored her health, the activity staff who were always looking for ways to engage my mom, and the administrative staff who provided care plan meetings, guidance and counsel when needed. The house keeping ladies who always stopped in to say hello to my mom (and me) and maintained the facilities cleanliness while taking care of my mom's laundry needs. The entire staff was and answer to prayer and they have shown such care, support, and attentiveness not just for my mom but also for me and my family. Finnish-American Village is a special place! Highly recommend this Facility!

I’ve seen several versions of assisted living and skilled nursing facilities over the last 35 years. Some stick you in a corner and let you waste away. Some try to make things better but are overworked and under concerned. And then there is one that looks and feels like home, has exceptional service and incredible attitudes across the board and that one is Finnish-American Village. I am blown away by the quality of care and attentiveness of staff and the absolutely stellar activities program and the menu of home cooked meals! The hallways are lined with beautiful artwork. I am truly blown away by the quality of Finnish-American Village!
