I have contemplated writing this review for a long time. The place seems really nice and there were 2 nurses there that I absolutely loved and so did my mother. However, I specifically asked them not to give my mother xanax or any other benzodiazepine and they did not listen to me. They told me she was on the lowest dose possible but then I found out later she was getting multiple doses all day long. She was to the point where she was completely bedridden and lost way too much weight. I thought she might not make it much longer. Then they "decided" they could not care for her because she was too aggressive. How is someone aggressive when they are passed out asleep all day and night because they are on xanax??? Now she is at a nursing facility in Springdale and she is thriving in comparison. I share this as my moral obligation to others looking for the right place for their loved ones.

This is an awesome place!!!!! If you need care for your loved one this is the place for them to be. My grandma loves it there. She says they treat her just like family. We haven’t had any issues in the years that she has been there. She is happy and well taken care of. The caregivers there are so awesome. All with different personalities. But all with loving and caring traits. They keep it clean. My grandma is a “ clean freak” and believes everything has its place. She never has any issues when I come visit. Like I said if you have to have a place for your loved one, you will not be making a mistake by them living here.

I have worked and been to many of the assisted livings and memory care facilities in the area and this is by far my favorite. The staff is wonderful and they are always fully staffed. The residents are very well taken care of which is the most important. I would definitely trust my loved one to live here and be well taken care of and would recommend to anyone.

The first week my mother in law was there all of her sweaters and cardigans were stolen. She often fell and we were not always notified. One of the most heartbreaking things that occurred was her engagement ring that her husband gave her over 60 years ago was stolen off of her finger. The last month she was there was December 2022. Several of her Christmas presents were stolen. We put her name on EVERYTHING; but, that didn’t help. We feel that our loved one was medically cared for adequately; but we had many many concerns. I would ask for the administrator to talk us many times; this didn’t happen. She was always unavailable and would not contact us. If you have a loved one at this facility I would suggest you visit OFTEN!!!

Unacceptable!!!! My father was a resident of the memory care facility at Countryside in Huntsville, Arkansas for a year (mid 2022 to mid 2023). The first few months were good, but then the care began to deteriorate. Some of the aids were sweet and caring, but they were often short staffed and unable to give the residents the attention they needed. The quality and taste of the meals worsened to the point of being inedible (meat so tough the residents would chew it up and spit it out). There was never toilet paper or paper towels in my dad's restroom, no way to wash his hands or wipe after using the toilet, no tissues to blow his nose, no hand soap, no water cup. I would take those things, but they would soon disappear. After a year he had lost 22 pounds and wound up in the hospital, dehydrated, malnourished, with a UTI and C-Dif (a very serious and contagious stomach bacteria that should have been easily diagnosed by the facility's doctor, but was left untreated until I took my father to the emergency room!) My father spent a week in the hospital, and they strongly recommended we find another care facility. So glad we did! My family would NEVER recommend Countryside to anyone after that experience.
