I am happy this is where my mom ended up. The staff is great. The place is clean, sunny and open. Feels like a home not a nursing home. I can relax knowing she’s in good hands. Thank you Cooperstown for taking such good care of mom!

Horrible facility. If it wasn't so hard finding placement at the time (during covid), we would have moved our family member out. I had to put one star to make the post, but they don't deserve any. While my family member lived there, the place was filthy and they never had enough staff. The woman in the billing department is the most cold, heartless person I have ever dealt with. At one point, we were double billed for a month that we had already paid for. I had to get medicaid involved to fight it and before they would get it corrected in their computer system. After my loved one passed, we also had to fight with them over the amount on the final bill. (They charged for a full month when she was only there a couple of days into the last month she was alive.) We paid the final invoice 2 years ago and now I just received another bill in the mail for miscellaneous charges dating back to 3 and 4 years ago. I would like to know how there is more money due now, when the final bill I received showed a breakdown of all charges/payment made for a whole year - with each month paid in full to a zero balance. (The final check was also made out for the full amount on the bill.) Everything about this place is ridiculous and it really needs to be shut down.

Every person in scrubs addressed the resident they saw with respect, familiarity and a smile. It truly warmed my heart. To me it seemed like the residents weren’t a job but friends to them. I applaud their compassion.

Do not send your loved ones to this facility. I'm not sure how this place even has the rating it does. It should be 0. My Grandmother was a short term patient and everything went wrong that could've. There were maybe a couple staff that were actually decent to her- but the rest? Absolutely horrible. When my Grandmother was given a shower, the nurses who helped her were abusive. They sprayed water in her face (and I could hear my Grandmother screaming- something she had never done before). The food was not edible. It was either undercooked or just absolutely disgusting. The floors were (and still are) very sticky and dirty. The rooms are old and not cleaned properly. The "physical therapy" she received was poor and inconsistent. There were many times where she was left without water after asking for it numerous times. Then...here's the kicker. They decided she should become a long term permanent resident and did not consult with me or my family. This was after I had became her Power of Attorney, mind you. They had her sign a bunch of papers she did not understand and then they were caught in the act. I took action as high up as I could and miraculously they admitted to "making a mistake". It was very soon after this that we removed her from this facility. She has since passed but I will never, ever forget this absolutely horrible experience. Nobody was helpful. As I stated before, there were a few floor staff that were good to her. But, the rest? Everyone else from the bottom up was extremely rude and unprofessional. I reported this facility to the proper entities within the state. I would advise ANYBODY considering this facility to look elsewhere. Yes, there aren't many good options around but this is one you will surely regret! This place should be closed down immediately.

I would give this place zero stars if possible.. my family member was sent here and they don’t give adequate care resulting in death… they have had so many lawsuits which is public knowledge and the workers who seem to do the most get treated the worst…. The workers like Mary the laundry person who treated my family member terribly and was rude to them… she deserves to be fired. She has also been caught conversations with other residents about other staff members in a negative light. This is highly unprofessional!
