Everyone we met at Complete Care was wonderful to us. The physical therapists and occupational therapists were fantastic people who helped us a great deal and were very professional. The nursing staff showed great compassion and concern for me especially during times that I was in pain. The nursing assistants were great, especially Laura who was always happy and in a good humor. Her positive attitude was a great help in my progress during this time of rehabilitation and she became a good friend. Joseph, Brice, Peggy, Eric, Annie, Michelle, Kayla, Donovan and all of the other nurses, therapists and assistants showed us great kindness during our stay. We will forever be grateful to them for their help during this difficult time.

I was visiting a friend at Complete Care. Evidently my GPS brought me in the back way and I parked in a visitor's spot, near what I thought was the main entrance. The actual main entrance was on the other side of the building, on the 2nd level, so I had a bit of a walk to get there. That would have been fine, but it was cold and very windy, so, not fun. Would you please consider placing a large sign at the back entrance, pointing us to the actual front entrance? Other than that, everyone was kind and helpful, and my friend had many nice things to say about the facility, all of the workers and her care!

My wife has been at CC for Physical Therapy Rehab for 2 weeks now, following 2 weeks in the hospital for Acute Kidney Injury. She has several medical issues, in addition. This is her 3rd Physical Therapy Rehab at a nursing home, over the last 2-3 years. To this point, CC has been exceptional, for her. The facility is very clean and welcoming... the last facility she was in was simply depressing. That is not to say everything is perfect... as with so many facilities, post Covid, they are short-staffed. However, the staff are THEIR employees, and not "agency" day staff that cone and go. Those staff members there are hard-working... In particular, I would "praise" Lara... she is a hard-working lady... Jane calls "Lara!!!" and you hear from down the hall... "I hear you, honey... I will be there just as soon as I finish here!!" They have a full time Physician's Assistant on staff, and a doctor on call. The Physical Therapy center is huge and well-equipped. Jane has not been able to fully take advantage of them yet, but they are getting there. I saw a few lower ratings, and I can understand them... staff can not always respond immediately... they are trying to recruit more staff... the folks who work there that I spoke to were very happy to work there. And, some said they do not have "private" rooms... yes, they do. Due to communicable issues, Jane has been in one. Again, very, very clean facility... I am including some photos...

My 90 year old mother was a patient in Rehab at Complete Care of Hagerstown for almost 4 months. She had had a heart valve replacement, and was there to get back to walking better and getting stronger after her illness and procedure to get a new valve. We were pleasantly surprised at the genuine kindness of the people at “CC” as we came to call it. From the aides to the nurses, to the folks in the front office, everyone took the time to stick their head in the door and say “hi” as they went down the hall, or come in and talk a little. I was impressed at the way the workers carried the burdens of all the needs of the people there, and worked together to help each other all while maintaining a great attitude of humor and fun. My mom and I appreciated the rhythm of being at CC, with PT several times a week (the PT room is huge and seems to be well-equipped). Meals were at regular times, and we appreciated the flexibility of the kitchen staff to accommodate different appetites and physical needs. Part of my mom’s problem was that she was not eating enough, so staff worked with her to get the food to her that appealed the most. I appreciated that each person was assigned a walker and a wheelchair, and they stayed in their room. My mom shared a room with one other woman; all the rooms are semi-private, and have big windows to look outside at the beautiful countryside. The rooms also have a bathroom with shower. This made it very convenient for my mom. CC had some wonderful nurses and aides who we got to know pretty well, and also a Nurse Practitioner who oversaw the place along with a medical doctor. Together, they addressed the needs my mom had. We also had a care plan meeting early on, and were frequently in touch with members of the team as the need arose. My mom had some other medical problems that followed her, and because of that, began to have difficulty breathing. Staff were always there in a flash to help, or call an ambulance to take her to the hospital. Each time my mom felt that she was able to get the help when she needed it. Unfortunately, after a lengthy stay in the hospital, she passed due to complications of pneumonia. While we were at CC, we tried to address some concerns. One was that even though the food was plentiful and nicely done, it often came not as hot as my mom would like. We found that there is a microwave available to heat things up. My mom never liked sharing a room. She lived by herself for many years prior to having her valve replaced, and liked her own space. Unfortunately, there are no private rooms. Last, sometimes it did take a while for someone to respond to the call bell. My mom tried to anticipate when she would need help and give extra time for someone to come. Things get busy and sometimes there are only so many people available. It was not usually a problem. Mom had decided that she was going to make CC her new home. She liked the people there, they liked her, and she felt comfortable there. We felt the staff there would take good care of her, and anticipated many happy years ahead. Unfortunately, that was not to be. I highly recommend to you the staff and administration of Complete Care of Hagerstown.
