Assisted Living Communities at CommuniCare For older adults, aging is a time of decreased functioning and increased dependence. But as with all individuals, their needs are unique. For some, a skilled nursing center would provide more healthcare than necessary. On the other hand, living on one's own may be too difficult. CommuniCare can help. Our assisted living communities provide a combination of housing, personal care services, nursing and healthcare, all in a supportive living community that promotes maximum independence, privacy and choice for residents who prefer not to live alone, but who don't require 24-hour care. Our assisted living and semi assisted living environment are designed to be welcoming and home-like, while supporting the physical, emotional and intellectual needs of our residents. Choices begin with assisted living accommodations designed for those who prefer privacy, as well as those who don't care to live alone. When available, we have conveniently located our assisted living communities on the same campus as our nursing centers, enabling residents to easily access physical therapy programs, as well as occupational and speech therapy, if needs arise. As requirements change and long-term, assisted senior care concerns need to be addressed, our center represents a natural transition within a familiar environment.

I AM CURRENTLY/UNFORTUNATELY IN THIS FACILITY RECOVERING FROM OPEN HEART SURGERY. I AM NOT BEING FED NUTRIOUSLY, I AM IN SIGNIFICANT POST-OP SURGICAL PAIN WHICH IS BEING TREATED WITH THE "BARE MINIMUM" IN PAIN MANAGEMENT OPTIONS. YOU ARE FED "CHILD'S PORTIONS" AND THE FOOD IS LITERALLY VERY SIMILAR TO JAIL FOOD. THE SECOND DAY I WAS HERE (SUNDAY) I WAS "FORGOTTEN" TO BE SERVED BREAKFAST AND LUNCH .... I BROUGHT THIS TO STAFF'S ATTENTION MULTIPLE TIMES ....... AND STILL ... NO BREAKFAST, NO LUNCH. DINNER ENDED UP BEING TWO COLD HOT DOGS ON SEMI-STALE WHITE BREAD. THE SURGICAL OPENING ON MY RIGHT LEG IS "SEEPING", PERIODIC BLEEDING AND THE OPENING IS TURNING INTO A "GASH". THE STAFF HERE MOSTLY COURTEOUS TO ME BUT A SIZABLE AMOUNT OF STAFF HERE ARE INCREDIBLY L A Z Y. THEY SIMPLY DO NOT WANT TO DO ONE IOTA MORE OF THEMSELVES THAN REQUIRED FOR THAT PAYCHECK. THERE IS A LOT OF DISSENSION HERE BETWEEN SOME EMPLOYEES AND A LOT OF DISSENSION HERE BETWEEN EMPLOYEES AND SOME PATIENTS! IT IS COMMONPLACE TO HEAR LOUD VOICES, BICKERING, AND SOMETIMES SINGING IN THE HALLWAYS LATE NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS WHEN MOST UPPER LEVEL MANAGEMENT IS NOT PRESENT. THAT "CALL BUTTON" ATTACHED TO YOUR BEDSIDE? YOU MAY OR MAY NOT GET A RESPONSE. LET'S JUST SAY THAT IT DEPENDS ON A LOT OF " VARIABLES" ..... "DEPENDS ON WHAT MOOD THEY'RE IN...." WHEN I FEEL PHYSICALLY STRONG ENOUGH I AM MOST LIKELY WALKING OUT OF HERE "AMA" .... GOD FORBID I WOULD HAVE A "CARDIAC EVENT" HERE AT CLIFTON HEALTHCARE, THERE'S NO TELLING HOW LONG I WOULD LAY HERE. DO NOT COME HERE.

Great experience for my aunt who has dementia. The staff is very friendly, supportive, and helpful. My aunt is happier there and always tells me how nice the staff is to her. The admissions and staff in office are very helpful and friendly. They have really helped me through this entire process of admitting and with paperwork. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to place a family member in an assisted living facility. I appreciate everyone who works at Clifton. Thank you for caring about my aunt.

If there were a way to give negative stars for this place disguised as a nursing home, I would give it an unlimited amount of negative stars!!! My loved one is lying in hospice dying tonight because of these people and the lack of care they choose to provide for him. On Saturday, when there was a heat warning out, the staff of Clifton Healthcare thought it would be okay to leave a man who is 100% care, in a room with no air, no fan, and temps over 100 degrees in the room. So, by the time I arrived my loved one was critical and needed to be moved right away! Today I had to tell his three children that they weren't going to have a father much longer and it was all because some people just didn't care enough to do their jobs. Or at the very least have enough compassion to get him a fan or wash him off with some cold wash rags!!! What kind of people (and I use that term loosely) do they have filling positions there? Obviously either ones with no common sense or ones without a conscious. Please don't put your loved ones through that hell. Also all off the postive 5 star reviews are from different staff of the home. It kind of makes me wonder how much of a bonus each person got for their postive review.
