Cheshire Village at Home

Cheshire Village at Home (CVAH) is a membership organization in Keene, New Hampshire that helps older adults remain in their own homes by providing access to trained volunteers and service providers for transportation, grocery shopping, household chores, and similar tasks that can otherwise make independent living difficult.

CVAH operates as a signature program of The Keene Senior Center, offering a single point of access to a network of caring volunteers and trusted service providers. The organization is designed for those who wish to remain independent and socially connected to their community while receiving practical support at home.

Members gain access to monthly social gatherings at The Keene Senior Center as a way to meet volunteers and learn about available services, as well as a Zoom program called "Let's Talk" where members can share concerns and challenges related to aging or other areas of interest. Annual membership includes access to The Keene Senior Center's many programs, which encompass yoga classes, card games, crocheting classes, exercise equipment, and recreational amenities like ping pong and pool tables.

CVAH welcomes volunteers who have a few hours per week available to support the organization's mission. The program also accepts both annual and six-month memberships, with enrollment ongoing for those who anticipate needing services or who wish to support the program for future use.
