My mom recently stayed here for almost a month. She was very ill going in and we were unsure of the outcome. But she left healthier than when she went in. 92 and still kicking. I believe that is in part due to the great care she received and in part her own will. The nursing staff is very positive and caring...if something seemed off it was immediately attended to...Megan heads up the nursing staff and she was always available and listened and acted on our concerns. The floor nurses were extremely attentive as well. Thank you all for the great care you gave my mom!!

My father in law was at Langdon Place for almost two weeks ans received amazing care! I can't recommend this place enough for recovery. In addition, Carrie, the business manager, was extremely professional and helped us with some administrative issues. Wonderful staff!

The staff at Langdon Place of Keene has been incredibly responsive, respectful helpful and effective. They have helped my sister and me ease our mother's transition from independent living to assisted living. It was a huge life change and so very anxiety-provoking and stressful for her. The staff at Langdon Place could not have done more to smooth the process for all of us. Recently, my mother's phone carrier canceled its services. The process of finding new service and porting over the phone number she's had since 1957 could not have been more fraught with technical complications. It even caused her separate tv service to drop! The process took hours of effort by me, my sister and Dan (the Langdon Place maintenance man) over the course of a month. No exaggeration. Dan made heroic efforts and ultimately was able to help ensure that my mother's phone and TV service are available with no perceivable change to her of how they work. TV and phone service for one person is probably not Dan's most pressing problem in a facility full of elderly people with many different needs. Nevertheless, he made us feel like it was, and he worked closely with us until the problem was resolved. We are very grateful to all of the staff at Langdon Place for their patience, effective responsiveness, and their care of both the residents at Langdon Place and their family members.

My mom resides in the assisted living portion of Langdon Place of Keene. She has dementia, which is an ever evolving process of adjusting expectations for what she can do herself. I arrived the other day to find that she had taken several days worth of extra medications. I was obviously very concerned (ok, I was freaking out). I happened to catch the Director of Health and Wellness in her office. She validated my concern, while calmly working with me to come up with a solution.  She put me in touch with my mom’s nurse for the night. We made a plan for the staff to give my mom her medications in the short term, while I wait for a new (more tamper proof) med dispenser to be delivered. The nursing staff’s care and concern for my mom was so evident, and their calm demeanor was exactly what I needed in that moment of panic.  As time passes, I am more and more grateful that my mom is at LPK, and supported by such wonderful people.

The Memory Care Unit at Langdon Place of Keene is an extraordinary residential placement facility for the care of those with dementia. Julie, my wife of 45 years, has lived there for almost two years. She entered in a highly confused state, with problems of mobility and balance. She has stabilized at a state of much better cognitive and physical functioning. Despite still experiencing the world moment-to-moment, most of Julie’s moments are happy ones. She has made new friends in a supportive social milieu, among other residents and the uniformly attentive staff. I credit the careful and compassionate structure of the care Julie has received at Langdon Place for her initial improvement and the ongoing stability of day to day living. Julie is able to often join me in weekly church attendance, choir singing and social gatherings with friends and family, especially our children and granddaughters. Two years ago, I was facing an anxious and uncertain future as the dementia had worsened quickly. Thanks to the dedicated caregivers at Langdon Place Memory Care, we can still take pleasure in our life together that is richer than I could have hoped.
