My siblings and I are responsible for our mobility restricted brother's care. Unfortunately we live 1,500- 3,000 miles away and he requires daily, reliable care. After several fits and starts we located Shannon and her company Independent Home Care, LLC in Jaffrey NH. She and her competent and friendly caregivers, provide our brother the opportunity to live independently where he wants to be. They take care of his daily needs, provide respectful personal care, cooking, daily housekeeping, banking and shopping. We are kept well informed on our brother's condition and needs and because of them he can get to local appointments. We couldn't be happier with their compassion and attention to details. Without their competence and communication this arrangement would fail. On occasion when needs have changed there has been an open and fruitful dialogue to maintain a high level of care that both we and Shannon insist on. Because of Shannon's high standards and quality caregiving, our brother remains in his own home.

Independent HomeCare is a wonderful place to work! Shannon and Becky are so helpful and accommodating with my schedule. They are very mindful of my family and the need for me to be home with my baby. We called on Shannon when our mom ended up falling and ending up with multiple fractures of the pelvis, sternum and neck. She was living in a wonderful Assisted Living facility and after surgery, hospitalization, and a month of rehab, was able to return home to this facilty. However, we needed to hire some extra care for her, as she no longer could manage as an assisted living resident. We wanted her to stay in her home, in this facility, so we called Shannon for help. She responded immediately, came to meet our mom the same day, and worked with us to develop a plan to help our mom with showers, dressing, preparing for dining room, and more. She was flexible with our not so flexible mom. She worked with us each week so we could build the schedule needed to assist the nurses and aides and keep our mom where she was. If you are looking for care for a loved one and you want experience, kindness, flexibility and even a little humor to help your loved one accept help, you will not be sorry to call on this incredible service. We can not recommend them highly enough. A true fit which helped us so much as we worked through many challenges. Just awesome!
