I'm gonna be extremely honest with this review... I was absolutely appalled at what I witnessed when I came here for the first time. I went to visit a dementia patient that is unfortunately in the lockdown unit and I wanted to cry for her and every other patient here. As soon as we were let into the unit, it reeked of severe diarrhea, urine and unclean bodies. Her private room looked like it was under construction with holes in the wall and horrible patch jobs with unsanded mud splotched on a lot of them. We had to constantly step over puddles of urine when walking down the hallways, and we noticed trails of urine from patients walking down the hallways. My boyfriend literally walked around covering his nose and gagging due to the extreme fecal and urine smells. I understand that places like this are usually understaffed, but that's no excuse for the atrocities we were witnessing. There were elderly residents aimlessly wandering around, others were slouched over in their wheelchairs in positions that made them look deceased and about to fall out of their chairs. We had patients approaching us in very hostile manners, others coming to us begging for a doctor and all of them were unsupervised.

Items were taken from my brother’s room and not returned. Rooms needed maintenance. Radiator cover layed on the floor for weeks. My brother laid exposed with doors open and a window curtain open to an outside area. Staff were defensive at times. As time passed conditions improved.
