Great therapy staff they work on the areas they know you are having problems highly recommend them, and nurses there is two nurses that check up on you to see if you are doing ok if you need anything two great nurses.

My father, Miguel Medina, was transferred to The Centre at Zaragoza after being released from UMC Hospital. Before his release, a nurse from this facility personally went to evaluate him at the hospital and agreed he was stable enough to return to their care.<br><br>Tragically, the same night he arrived back at the rehab center, he passed away around midnight after fluid accumulated in his lungs. Our family is devastated and left with serious concerns about the level of care, monitoring, and attention he received during those critical hours.<br><br>What also deeply troubles us is the inconsistency surrounding the timeline of his death. The time EMTs pronounced him deceased did not match the time the nurse called me to inform me he had passed away.<br><br>We trusted this facility to care for our father after the hospital cleared him for rehabilitation, and instead we are left with heartbreak and unanswered questions. I hope this review encourages accountability and greater attention to patient care so another family does not experience the same pain.

DO NOT trust this facility with your loved ones. My father was transferred here at 3:00 PM and was pronounced dead by midnight the very same day—he was in their care for less than 9 hours.<br><br>The hospital sent him here as "stable," but he arrived with a heart rate of 122 bpm and active sepsis. This facility chose to accept a critically ill man they were not equipped to monitor. Despite his documented history of "extensive aspiration" and severe respiratory risk, he was neglected during his most vulnerable moments.<br><br>When he was finally found unresponsive at midnight, staff suctioned 100ml of fluid from his airway, which physically proves he was not being watched or cleared. The lack of oversight for a medically fragile patient is inexcusable.<br><br>They make promises of care and rehabilitation that they do not keep. Our family is now seeking full accountability for his death. Please, save a life and take your family member somewhere else.

Do NOT bring your loved ones here. My mother was a resident here, briefly, following knee replacement surgery. After 7 miserable days (January 15-22) we made the wise decision to move her to ignite rehab. My first impression of The Center was the sound of a man crying out loud for a nurse to assist him, I could hear him from the hall yelling "Nurse!!". I would learn during my mothers short stay that ringing the nurse button, or saftey rope did not provide assistance from staff for over an hour. That is a downright dangerous environment. Nurses would give my mom medications without being able to fully inform her which pills she was taking. Maria, the daytime CNA scolded my mother for asking for ice for her ice machine since she was in pain. She told my mother in a very aggresive tone "look at me in the eyes, listen and understand, I have all these other patients to attend to.... I will get to it when I get to it". This crosses the boundry of professionalism. On another occasion my mother had fecal matter and vomit on her restroom floor (the anasthesia was not kind to her digestive system) She virtually had to beg for someone to come clean it, having to live in the smell of feces and vomit on the floor. Eventually, a OT cleaned the floor for my mom which is not his job and we are thankful to him. It is obvious that employees here are spread way too thin which has made it near impossible for patients to receive adequate care but more importantly to be treated with dignity.
