Carnegie Place

Carnegie Place is an independent living community located in West Allis, Wisconsin, serving seniors in the heart of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The community offers spacious one-bedroom apartments with unique, charming, and well-designed features, encouraging residents to maintain an active, independent lifestyle while enjoying comfort and security.

The historic building was originally constructed as a library through a grant from the Carnegie Foundation in 1904. It was acquired and renovated into apartments by Capri Communities in 2001, transforming the landmark structure into a modern senior living community.

Carnegie Place's location provides easy access to supermarkets, medical services, churches, restaurants, and entertainment and activities throughout Milwaukee. The community builds and maintains relationships with area business and civic organizations, making it convenient for residents to participate in activities both inside and outside the community.

The community features a secure home-like environment with locked lobby and exterior doors for resident safety. Scheduled transportation is available to shopping destinations in and around West Allis, Milwaukee, and surrounding areas.
