Brookdale Senior Living in Brookfield is a terrible community for your loved one's care. The caregiving staff would rather be on their phones than assisting residents. In some instances their treatment of my loved one bordered on elder abuse. The nursing and management staff skew a residents assessment based on what they think not on a medical determination. It is a horrible community. For the sake of your loved one do not let them move into this community.

Brookdale in Scotts Valley CA is horrible. They raised the rent on a one bedroom apartment to $7,000 a month. Assisted Living is a joke she was pay $7,000 for "3 hots and a cot". They would have charged even more is she received additional services. She moved to another facility that offered so much more than Brookdale and the rental amount is $3,300 a month. She gave Brookdale her new address so they could send her their final bill. They sent the final bill to my address. The bill was dated the day I was getting a knee replacement. I have been in rehabilitation until yesterday so I was getting mail. When I got home their were two bills in my mail--one marked "Past Due" with a $250 late fee added. The way residents are treated and the price charged is unconscionable.

I want to recognize the Executive Director, Alexis Resides, at Brookdale Brown Creek, in Maryville, TN. Our Chef, for reasons unknown to me, is no longer here. Ms. Resides stepped in and has been cooking our meals this past week (a great improvement I might add). Thank you for caring and going above and beyond Alexis.
