I'm not sure where some of these bad ratings are coming from- depending on the time of day and the circumstances , any facility will have an odor to it. And also depending on the time of day and circumstances things can look chaotic.
The staff cares deeply about the residents and the residents actually call this place home.

(They do NOT keep residents when they require hospice care . Please check on that when you are looking to have a resident here.)

I have a friend who has lived here for quite a few years. He is very happy with the food and care he receives. He really enjoys the activities and most often when I stop in he is in one of their many activities. The staff has always been very polite to me. The building is older and like older homes, it could use some sprucing up. The main thing I would like to say is my friend is happy, he is safe and he loves the staff....that is the bottom line and so I would recommend Lamplight Inn to others who are looking to place their loved one in an assisted living facility.

Honestly, I could give this a negative 100,000 stars if I could. For starters, if you see this place- RUN!!!
The employees steal money from resident's rooms, the place reeks, stains on the carpets, water stains on the ceilings, needs some serious renovation, the elevator is constantly broken.
The food, is such low quality it's worse than prison food. If they have a grudge against you, good luck getting your meal. You might as well go to a restaurant. The employees have major attitude problems, considering those residents are paying their salary with the high rent that they pay for such low quality living.
They allow residents to go to the dining room without under garments on, wearing revealing dresses in winter, letting *it* all hang out..
Certain rooms were designated "friendship suites" requiring an addition of a roommate that resident was not able to choose their own roommate so they'd be bunking with a complete stranger again I say, run far away.
A homeless shelter would be better then this place.
Nothing is cleaned, so why even bother having "cleaning people", a resident had their room so called, "clean" but the dust on top of the television (that was NOT high up) says otherwise. God forbid if you ask for an additional roll of toilet paper.. Who expects to only use one roll of toilet paper a week?
Multiple residents have reported finding bugs- including bed bugs in their rooms. This went unsolved for weeks.
