I had a few concerns after my SIL was admitted to Carmel for short term rehab. I was pleasantly surprised when Cassandra phoned me today and all my concerns were addressed and cleared up. She was professional yet understanding and compassionate. Carmel was everything we hoped and lived up to its Gold Standard of care. Today I am completely comfortable knowing Carmel in SI NY is all they say they are online. I can breathe again knowing my SIL will improve greatly in Carmel’s care. They deserve five stars at the very least. I am grateful for their speedy follow up and recommend them highly for your loved ones.

My mom has been at Carmel Richmond for a little over one month, and our experience has been excellent from the very beginning. The management team has been helpful, responsive, and caring throughout the process. The nursing staff and aides have treated my mom with kindness, respect and compassion, and they have been attentive to her needs. It's reassuring to know she is in such good hands. We are grateful for the care and support she is receiving.

Our family is extremely grateful for the care and compassion that the staff at Carmel Richmond have shown to my aunt When she first moved in, she was struggling with depression and had a very difficult time adjusting to her new circumstances. The staff never gave up on her. Through their encouragement, patience, and genuine concern for her wellbeing, they helped her regain her confidence and become involved in the community. Today she is thriving and has even become the President of the Residents Association-something we never could have imagined when she first arrived .Seeing this transformation has been remarkable and is a testament to the dedication of the nurses, aides, therapists, activities staff, clergy, and administrators. Thank you to everyone at Carmel Richmond for making such a positive difference in my aunts life. Sincerely Jeanne Logan

My mother was admitted over a month ago. We’ve had bad experiences with the last two but this one has been absolutely outstanding. From the staff to the social worker it has been a wonderful experience. I had a phone call to discuss her care and brought up an issue. Within 1 1/2 hours the issue was resolved. It is so wonderful when the people you’re talking to really listen. My mom is on the third floor and everyone from the nurses, OT,PT and especially the aids, have been so compassionate towards my mother. She’s a handful my family and I appreciate the patience! It’s very comforting to know she’s in good hands. Especially love having OT pushing to get her back on her feet! The renovations they’re doing are beautiful!! Thank you so much for everything!!

My nana stayed at this nursing home, and I truly can’t say enough good things about the care she received. From the moment she arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. They treated her with dignity and compassion every single day, which gave our family so much peace of mind. The nurses and aides were always responsive and made sure her needs were met promptly. It was clear they genuinely cared about her comfort and well-being, not just as a patient, but as a person. The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Communication was also excellent — we were always kept informed and felt included in her care. Knowing she was in such capable and caring hands made a difficult time so much easier for all of us. I would absolutely recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for their loved one.
