From the moment I entered this facility to access it as a possible choice for my mother’s rehabilitation, I sensed a caring, hospitable atmosphere. Since my mother’s stay there, everything I sensed has become a reality. My mother’s stay considers Buena Vida as her home. The staff has been awesome in establishing a relationship with her as well as myself. There are a few people I definitely need to acknowledge. I thank Patricia, who was my first contact. I thank Selena, Lisa, Matthew, Ivan, Isabel, and Veronica. These people I have had contact with on numerous occasions. But I also want to acknowledge everyone who has had any contact with my mother, cans, nurses, therapists, whether or not I mentioned your name, because she even told me everyone has been so sweet to her. I thank you all.

I am writing to express several ongoing concerns, including stolen personal belongings, persistent unpleasant odors in the hallways, and a lack of compassion shown during the passing of my grandmother. And how things were handled when cleaning my grandmother up after passing. Spraying perfume in her face that was uncalled for and very disrespectful. Additionally, my mother has been awaiting a response from administration regarding these matters for over a month—approaching two months by the 10th—without any follow-up. I would appreciate prompt attention to these issues and a clear update on how they are being addressed.

Friends- check on your loved ones! Dont trust the nursing home will take good care of your loved one! *They don't do what they say they will do. *They lie alot. *They are always low staffed. *When I was there, there was not enough blankets to go around. My cousin only had a throw. *His bed mattress was old and it smelt like urine! * I bought him a new tv and one of the staff stole it and replaced it w a broken one so it would look like he had one. *They stole his new clothes i bought him. But as of today, they have replaced them. They have also replaced his tv. *Their was no blanket for an 85 year old lady. *There is no water readily available. *They only get water when they take their meds. *Patients can be neglected or abused in any nursing home when there is not enough staff and family does not check on them. Friends; make sure you check on your loved ones! Every nursing home I've been to has faults! We put the "Ring" in my mothers room and it made all the difference!!!! It is worth every penny! I highly advise it!

So recently i had 2 of my Older sisters put one of our brothers at this location. In the last 2 consecutive Sundays my younger brother& I went to visit our brother. At each visit the place reeked of urine and the AC was not working. We informed the staff however we were told that @ weekends No housekeeper is available. Also that the Housekeeper closet isLOCKED. There was dried up poop on the toliet seat and inside the commode. My Brother told the staff on duty clean this bc it’s unsanitary to use like this. She just kept talking so my brother said to her i’m not leaving till it gets cleaned up. So she then said let me get some one on it. She herself comes with rubber gloves on and some paper towels to clean only the toilet seat. We also thought there was poop on the floor but she tells us it’s cake that my brothers roommate had spilled but she knowing this never thought to clean it up until we said something to her about it. Wow it’s Sad that they don’t care about the patients living there and don’t keep the place Clean and free of URINE STENCH. Also we keep buying him clothes and it disappears. 6/10/2025 so update we have pulled my brother from this place as he was injured ther last week 6/5/25 and needed surgery the staff is HEARTLESS more than Half of them dont wear name tags and the living conditions are DEPLORABLE from stopped up toilets to all the residents act like they are being starved. And we watched a resident call for help for more than 20 minutes he is wheelchair bound so he defected all over himself and then the staff wa mad they had to clean the mess. I would not reccomend this place to my worst enemy.
