My mother-in-law was a resident at Buckingham South and received exceptional care. When the time came for my own mother to need additional support and assistance, I had absolutely no hesitation in choosing Buckingham for her as well.<br><br>We have been truly grateful for the compassionate, attentive, and professional care she receives every day. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure her comfort, safety, and well-being, and it gives our family tremendous peace of mind knowing she is in such capable and caring hands. We could not be more pleased with our experience.

My mother was a resident at Buckingham South for several years. During that time, I observed a number of incidents that raised concerns about staffing levels, particularly during weekends and overnight shifts.<br><br>On two occasions, my mother sustained serious injuries while in the facility’s care. These incidents led me to question whether supervision and resident safety standards were adequate for her needs.<br><br>Because my mother was wheelchair-bound, she required daily assistance with personal care. In addition to monthly rent, we paid over $1,200 per month for these assisted living care services.<br><br>During the final month of her life, my mother was hospitalized and later in hospice, and was not present at Buckingham South or receiving care there. Despite this, charges for personal care services continued during that period, including after her passing.<br><br>Based on my experience, I recommend that families carefully evaluate staffing levels, resident care, and billing practices when considering Buckingham South in Savannah

My sister, Mary, resided at Buckingham South for almost two years. When admitted, she was suffering from early dementia and terminal skin cancer. She passed away shortly after her 90th birthday. From day one, she received excellent care from the entire Slatus family and staff. It's seldom, if ever, to find an assisted living facility with such individual treatment and concern. I can't begin to thank everyone there enough. Buckingham South definitely deserves a FIVE STAR RATING!<br>Posted on behalf of Pat N.
