Oaks continues to have issues with caregiver oversight. No one oversees shifts to make sure caregivers are responding to pendant calls, that caregivers are on their assigned floor actively taking care of the needs of the residents. Caregivers leave soiled linens and clothes in the room so the room smells of urine. My mother uses a Purwick system and caregivers throw away connecting parts continually. Currently the internet has not worked since Friday so the residents alert pendants do not work. This is a safety and liabilty issue as caregivers do not stay on the assigned floor to hear patients call out if assistance is needed. The food is not nutritious, it is overcooked and does not taste good. The cook that has been there for months does not print a menu for residents on a weekly or daily basis. Residents do not know what to expect for their meal ahead of time in order to request an alternative meal. Issues have been brought to managements attention numerous times over the last year and a half by myself and my mother. It has also been discussed in the residents meetings. I have called the number for the corporate office and left messages all of which have not been returned so there is no need to respond telling me to call!!!
