My brother and I learned that our sister, who was sick and lived alone, was in a medically unsafe situation in her home. We were directed to Synergy as a good resource. I called them before flying to Bluffton and they agreed to meet me at her house to assess her situation. When we got there, Bob and Melissa called an ambulance and drove me to the hospital, where they waited until she was stable. They set up 24 hour care givers for the following day and had necessary medical equipment sent over as well. Then they referred us to Mirasol, a hospice/palliative care group they work closely with.

When I drove to the house and saw Bob and Melissa waiting there for me, I burst into tears. Living so far away, we were desperate and at a loss as to how to proceed.Their ability to move quickly and efficiently under pressure was remarkable. They turned a dire situation into one that was safe and medically controlled.

They did not know us.They did not ask for proof of insurance or ability to pay. They simply sprang into action, doing the right thing at every turn for our sister. We could not be more grateful.

Great thanks to Synergy, for helping us comply with her wish to remain in her home. She was able to enjoy the last six months of her life because she was well-cared for and I believe that she felt loved. She and Cee Cee formed such a lovely bond that was a huge comfort to us.

In gratitude,

Susan Copeland
