Brooke Knoll Village is a senior living community in Avon, Indiana offering Skilled Nursing / Long Term Care. Amenities include Restaurant style Dining Room, Gathering / Activity Spaces and Social Activities. Families rate it 3.9 out of 5 across 85 reviews.
Brooke Knoll Village is a 117-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Avon, Indiana. It serves patients recovering from surgery and serious illness, as well as those requiring ongoing residential care.
Family reviews reveal sharp contrasts in experience. Positive accounts consistently praise the rehabilitation therapy team, one family noted therapists were "very nice and personable" and made therapy engaging, and highlight individual staff members who showed genuine care and attentiveness. Several families appreciated the administrator's visible presence and responsiveness to insurance and care coordination matters. However, negative reviews raise serious concerns about inconsistent care quality, particularly regarding assistance with bathing and hygiene (some families report residents going weeks without showers), insufficient staffing of nursing assistants during night shifts, and maintenance of basic hygiene standards. Training gaps are noted, especially in specialized lifting techniques for residents with specific medical needs. One family described unclean conditions and equipment not being properly sanitized between uses.
The facility operates with a 3.9 out of 5 rating based on 85 reviews. The wide range of experiences, from five-star testimonials about dedicated staff to one-star accounts of neglect, suggests outcomes may depend heavily on timing, shift, and individual staff assignment rather than consistent facility standards.

Staff was very friendly from admission to discharge. Therapy was consistent. My friend had no complaints especially having been in 2 previous facilities. The best part is the cleanliness, pleasant smell, wide hallways, and bright lights. Jessica, the doctor, was excellent. Would highly recommend.

My sister is a long-term care resident at Brooke Knoll Village and has lived there over a year. She is Deaf and wheelchair bound due to stroke. Logistically, the facility is accessible and light. And in the time she has resided at BKV we've seen some very important improvements due to the most current director, Jessica. She has made it her mission to encourage her staff members to be attentive and kind to everyone they interact with, residents and visitors alike. And she has accommodated my Deaf sister with great care and attention. Communication is a barrier for my sister but with the attention and care of the staff and administration, many make an effort to interact with her.
