My father lived in in October. He actually renovated this facility yrs ago when he still has his kind and construction company and always said if he got down this is the place he would want to be. The staff is awesome. They take all suggestions and strive to meet his and the families needs when visit.

DO NOT put a loved one here!! After our mother’s stroke, we needed a place where she would be safe while continuing to recuperate. We heard good things, so gave it a try. BIG MISTAKE!<br><br>Before she even moved in, we toured her room which was made up with cast out old, mismatched furniture. When I asked if at least the mattress was new, I was told no. (Realize that many, if not the majority of people here have incontinence issues….. GROSS!) we went out and bought all new furniture and a new mattress.<br><br>The entire facility smells awful— like urine. The only times you may not notice it as much is on warmer days when they open the windows….. but it still is very “ripe”. In all the times we visited, this never went away. Some days were just a little better than others.<br><br>They claim that they cannot require people to have showers, so you can imagine how smelly some of these people are. Combine that with the fact that they usually leave the doors to the rooms unlocked (unless you specify otherwise) and you see some interesting situations. My brother witnessed a urine-soaked person come into our mother’s room (uninvited) and attempt to get into her bed! Had he not been there, my mother would not have been able to stop it. She also would have to sit next to these people while eating.<br><br>When we would take her for outings to my home or her own home, we noticed that she appeared to have zero dental care. We had to help her brush her teeth and floss. It was as if it hadn’t been done in weeks. Her poor gums bled considerably.<br><br>If that wasn’t bad enough, many of her belongings went missing. Brand new bedding, clothes, other personal items. In addition, random clothing appeared in her closet. Size XL and XXL for my thin, small mother.<br><br>Twice when I went to pick her up for an outing I realized she had her pants on backwards and had no underwear on. People are paid to help her dress, shower, brush her teeth, and more. What on earth was going on!?!<br><br>The last straw was that she had severe swelling in her legs from constantly walking around. She just could not rest while in there.<br><br>While I don’t think the staff did a poor job on purpose, it’s clear they do not pay attention to the details. Our mother did not receive good care. The facility was smelly and depressing. While the staff may have good intentions, clearly the management is more interested in making money than actually taking care of vulnerable people. Yes, we did try to bring some of these things up, but it was clear the only solution was to remove her from the “Hell Hole”— her words.<br><br>We moved our mother home and hired in-home caregivers and the result is amazing. She’s flourishing, and finally her dignity has been restored. Her teeth are clean, she wears her own clothes and underwear, she gets one on one care, enjoys outings, and now can have visitors in a place that doesn’t smell.<br><br>Please for the sake of your loved one, and your sanity—- find a different place.

The staff are exceptional! Very caring, attentive to all family, even when dad had visitors, the staff made them all feel welcome. We couldn’t have picked a better place.

My parents are in this facility. I visit them often, and I come at all hours of the day: morning, afternoon, and night. I have been able to see up close how this facility is ran. I am impressed by the level of care my parents receive and I adore the staff. I come so often that I know pretty much everyone who works there by name. I am comforted that my parents are here. Both of my parents have also expressed that they enjoy living in this community.
