We worked with Niki in a Care Manager capacity during an extremely stressful and complicated situation involving my mother’s assisted living care, and I am very grateful for her help and guidance. Niki was responsive, knowledgeable, compassionate, and willing to step into a difficult situation quickly. She helped us assess my mother’s assisted living facility and ultimately helped us determine that the best option was to move her. She gave us realistic expectations about what we had a right to expect from the facility, attended meetings with facility leadership, and strongly supported and advocated for my mother throughout the process. Her guidance was invaluable as we navigated serious care concerns and difficult decisions. What I appreciated most was her calm, steady presence and her experience dealing with complex elder care situations. She previously served as the Executive Director of an assisted living facility, so she understands what families should expect in terms of staffing, training, and safety expectations at an AL facility. She helped us feel less alone during a very overwhelming time. I would absolutely recommend Niki to families who need support navigating senior care issues and advocacy.

I am a geriatric care manager in the Portland area and Sea Star is my favorite home care agency. They are accommodating, trustworthy and reliable. I find their workers to be well trained and well supervised. I have used them for 24-hour care and also for clients that only need companionship once a month. I have also had the opportunity to work with their care managers and they are terrific. I highly recommend them for all your home care needs.
