About Brookdale Greenwood Village

Brookdale Greenwood Village is a luxury senior living community in Greenwood Village, just south of Denver with easy access to Highway 87. The town has an open feel with more than 300 acres of parks and 100 acres of undeveloped open space. There’s also a trail system with 40 miles of scenic walking and biking areas. Our campus sits on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard and lovely gardens, and our community’s convenient location gives our families easy access to all the Denver area offers.

Sometimes as we get older, we need a little extra help. You’ll have assistance with medications, dressing, and bathing, if you need it, as well as housekeeping and meals. My mom (terminal cancer) was admitted into skilled nursing at Brookdale in a hospice situation for symptoms we were struggling to manage at home. They are amazing!! Every staff member has been so attentive and kind. Our family is there every day to be with her and we are witnessing the attention, care, kindness and skill they are treating her with in every moment. We are beyond grateful and are able to spend time with her without worrying if we’re failing her. Thank you to all the Brookdale staff.

This is a lovely and well staffed facility. I only have two thoughts. The woman we were visiting needed help using the bathroom. I looked for help and the nurses desk was empty. It would be very nice if there was always one person at the desk most of the time. Perhaps the staff could take turns doing what they need to do?<br>It would be marvelous if coffee was available for patient’s guests.

Both of my parents have been at Brookdale at different times. Some of the staff are kind and treated my parents well . However, as a whole, Brookdale is incompetent and negligent. Staff is under trained and have no knowledge of basic medical care. They also failed repeatedly to provide rides to critical medical appointments, even after confirming by phone and email. They tried to rehab my mother's knee, when the doctors had told her she was not allowed to bend her knee. They took bandages off that were not to be removed. They didn't know how to do IVs correctly. They are horrendously understaffed, and have only bathed my Mother once this week. Don't send your loved one here, the facility looks nice, but the care is horrendous.
