About Rocky Mountain Assisted Living and Memory Care

Senior Residential Assisted Living Homes

Quality, Compassionate Care in an Intimate Home Setting.

From the moment you step through the door way, you know you’re at home. A huge kitchen island looks over into an open-concept living room, inviting your loved one to relax in a comfortable home that they can call their own.

Our staff is there to help with any and all of their needs, while respecting and protecting their independence. At Rocky Mountain Assisted Living, our care providers are simply guests in your loved one’s home, when they are needed.

Amenities

Your loved one deserves the best—a home that has been carefully laid out and designed to meet their needs in a comfortable, intimate home setting. A place to call their own, filled with memories and comforts, and access to professional and compassionate 24-hour care for their changing needs.

Services

Providing for your loved one’s needs with compassion, respect, and incredible quality is what we’re all about. Like a food connoisseur knows good restaurant service, caring for our aging residents is what we live, breath, and take pride in.

We don’t just have experience caring for our senior residents – we have also cared for our own grandmothers, grandfathers, mothers, and fathers, and that’s the lens with which we few every man and woman we are entrusted to care for.

Memory Care

At Rocky Mountain Assisted Living, our memory care programs and practices are purpose-built and purpose-driven.

Our philosophy is to live in their moment. Seniors who are suffering from memory impairment have changing needs and abilities from moment to moment. One moment they may be fully aware and the next moment they are not.

Our Communities

Creating a comfortable, intimate home setting for your loved one is our mission. Our Rocky Mountain Assisted Living homes are not too big—they are just the right size to foster independence, supported with progressive levels of care.

Our communities are not like other “assisted living” facilities. They are true homes. Each home is designed to feel just like a home you would purchase for yourself. Your loved one’s bedrooms are decorated with familiar sentimental possessions and family photos on the walls. The can prepare their own meals in our beautiful kitchen or have their favorite meals prepared by a caretaker and enjoy their meals at a dining room table that is just like the kind they have dined at in their homes their whole lives.

At Rocky Mountain Assisted Living, we have truly created the next best option to your loved one staying in their current home. We are not a home-away-from-home, but rather a true home setting, where your loved one can age in place while getting the care they require for their changing needs.

We know that many seniors do not want to move out of their houses. We invited you to schedule a tour with us, so that you and your loved one can see firsthand how we have truly created an inviting home environment. Rocky Mountain Assisted Living is not an institution and in no way has an institutional feel. We have created your loved one’s home with all the care they will need, simply at a new address.

The best way to experience this unique concept of assisted living is to schedule a tour with us!

Amenities

Designed for the Best Care

At Rocky Mountain Assisted Living we offer the finest in Senior Care Living. Each one of our homes has been carefully laid out and designed to meet the needs of you or your loved ones. Every home has Hardwood Floors in the main common areas reducing risk of trips and falls. The bedrooms are also carpeted to create a more cozy, home-like feel. Hallways are extra wide and the common area spaces are filled with floor to ceiling windows bringing in maximum natural sunlight for residents. This is also the best option to reduce “sundowning,” a common ailment of those dealing with dementia.

We designed the common areas with 10-foot ceilings so that the home feels open, but the bedrooms have 8-foot ceilings in order to increase cooling and heating. Seniors are always cold!

Our Neutral Color Scheme promotes Peace and Harmony. Every home is Unique in their look and feel, yet all have a feeling of Warmth, Cleanliness and Order.

When we think of a home, we think of warmth and comfort. When we think of an institution, we think of a cold and sterile environment. That latter is not what your loved one deserves, nor what you want for them. At Rocky Mountain Assisted Living, we understand this well. Our entire philosophy was developed by designing the model of care we wanted for our own grandparents and parents.

In every aspect, the design of our homes has warmth and comfort in mind. We’ve created a true home for your loved one, not an institution. It’s just like a home you may purchase for yourself, but equipped with the special features and care that your loved one needs to age in place.

Open Concept Home with Natural Light

Open concept home with natural light, and neutral peaceful color scheme.

We know how important light is for the soul, so we’ve designed each home with big windows, allowing light to flood in. Our wide hallways are finished with hardwood floors and large open doorways, providing a trip-free, safe area to navigate with a walker or wheelchair.

Hardwood Floors with Wide Halls and Doorways

Homes feature hardwood floors throughout and wide hallways and widened doorways for easy navigation to reduce slips and falls.

Salon

Our ladies and gentleman like to get dressed up and they deserve to feel great about themselves and be pampered. Your loved one has access to their own stylist, who regularly works with seniors, to curl their hair or give them their favorite style. Our goal is to make our seniors feel dignified and beautiful, because they are.

Bathrooms w/ Extra Wide Shower and Walk-in Tub

Whether your loved one prefers showering or bathing at night or in the morning, you will not need to worry about their safety. Entering into a bright and clean bathroom that feels like home, our care providers will help your loved one to prepare for their shower or bath, making sure they are safe and their hygienic needs are met with comfort, ease, and dignity.

Leaving this review in the hope it helps a future resident and their family from being left with the heartache we've endured the past three weeks. My 91-y/o Dad was placed in RMAL at the Quincy/Wadsworth location on October 10th. Long-time Alzheimer's patient who had recently been subject to too many falls to safely be kept at home any more. RMAL came to us highly recommended for his well-being and care. We in no way blame them for his quick passing, but instead the heartless lack of respect he received AFTER his death, and their callous lack of compassion for us, his family. Dad passed early in the morning of October 13th. He was left to lay on the floor, completely bare save for a diaper, and uncovered for at least an hour after he was attended to by paramedics. ON THE FLOOR - UNCOVERED!! WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED OF HIS PASSING, and my brother found him on a video camera inside the room. Upon his calling the home himself, he was told, "Sorry, he's gone". Upon arrival at the facility within 40 min., he found Dad on the floor, in aforementioned condition, and covered him himself with his comforter. NO CALLS to my Mom or either of us children listed as emergency contacts. NOT ONE. And my Dad ON THE FLOOR, LEFT BARE AND UNCOVERED, FOR AN HOUR. Three days later, upon our arrival to remove belongings, we walked in to all his sheets laying crumpled in the middle of the bed, filled with his BODILY FLUIDS. NOT BAGGED - JUST LAYING ON THE MIDDLE OF THE BED (he had obviously been placed back on the bed after my brother left, at some point before the mortuary arrived - no coroner arrived to pronounce him, either). STILL no calls from anyone at the facility, THREE DAYS AFTER THE FACT. They chose to correspond only via text message. UNBAGGED, BIO-HAZARDOUS WASTE MATERIALS left in a room of a nursing home filled with other patients, for THREE DAYS! We were charged with removing the soiled sheets ourselves. Horrific treatment of my beloved Dad and the family who cared for him. They blamed the paramedics for zero phone calls. RMAL collected their fees and THEY were responsible for calling to let us know. They were also charged with caring for my Dad when we couldn't be there (we had been at the facility with him for 8 hours each of the three days he was there). NO COMPASSION OR DIGNITY WAS SHOWN TO THIS SWEET MAN! If I can save ONE person from this heartbreak in the future, it will be my life's goal from here on out!

As a healthcare professional, I can honestly say that these assisted living and memory care community homes are the best I've ever worked with. I mean that with all of my heart. Their care staff is highly attentive to their residents, their care is patient centered and they are very communicative to families and outside healthcare professionals who deliver care to their residents. The communities are welcoming, soothing, well-maintained and are perfect for seniors who want staff who are dedicated to their individual needs. I would trust them for the care of my own elderly parents when the time comes for them when they need a higher level of care. They are the best in the Denver metro area and would highly recommend any senior needing a place to call home.

I would avoid Rocky Mountain Assisted Living. My mother didn't receive her medications for over 7 months, the medication administration record was falsified to show she received her medications but I had all the medications at my home. It's a beautiful setting but it's smoke and mirrors beautiful but lack luster care. Staff is consistently on their cellphones instead of providing residents care. In their defense during the day 2 staff members are expected to cook 3 meals, serve the meals and clean up after meals, they are also expected to clean rooms, do laundry and assist the residents. Only 1 staff member at night. Additionally, our family did all laundry except sheets and towels and they went missing as did personal articles. My mom was consistently wet with urine and had uncontrollably diarrhea, after moving her she is consistently dry and not one episode of diarrhea in 5 weeks.
