My mom has been in the RMAL system since 09/2020. She was declining extremely fast with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Once we put her in RMAL she leveled off and is in a slow decline for now. The consistent care that she gets along with social interactions with the care givers and other residents, I believe is contributing to her overall wellbeing. I visit mom about once a week. I come at different times and different days of the week, and every time I show up everything is running smoothly. With how well my mom is doing I would definitely recommend RMAL for someone needing this kind of care.

My mom has been at RMAL Newland for 2 1/2 yrs. I am very pleased with the facility and my mother is doing well there. Plenty of room to move around in the common area, the bedrooms are homey and everything is kept very clean. The activities director is engaging and many residents will participate in games, painting, the women love having their nails polished. My mom's care is very good, the staff is attentive and caring. Would highly recommend!

This is going to be a long post because I want people to know what could happen to their loved ones. What to say, I gave it a two because my family member thought it was clean and willing to live at this site The day of move in the room was not cleaned, I asked a staff to clean it before I moved my family members things in the new space. The common area beautiful and clean. I was very up front and honest about my family members medical history. I was told not a problem we have residents here with diabetes. With that being said It is ok to have my lived one stay at this facility with diabetes. A month went by then the first trip to the hospital, some time past another hospital visit. A TOTAL OF THREE HOSPITAL VISITS IN A YWO MONTH SPAN. At the hospital I was told it was the diabetes out of control, went back to the facility and I asked them way this is happening they told me we dont do anything with members with diabetes. WAIT WHAT!!:no checking levels, nothing. 3rd trip to the hospital the hospital refused to let my loved one go back to that facility since they were not taking care of their needs. They clearly know my loved one had diabetes if you couldn't care for them why accept them into your facility that was over priced. Not to mention the turn over was horrible and I was told my loved one was not being treated nice by the night staff that was from a staffing agency. I belive that was one of the reasons my loved one declined as fast as they did. Please look passed the clean common areas of these places.

My mother has been a resident of RMAL memory care facility for the last two years. I could not be happier with the care she receives on a daily basis. The professionals that work with my mom are very kind, upbeat and positive toward my mom and all the residents. I think that is why my mom is thriving at RMAL, even tho she suffers from dementia. The staff at moms residence are willing to do things for mom that I do not see in other facilities. The activities that my mom takes part in, i.e. crafts, music, programing, walks with the staff and there monthly outings to lunch, movies, museums and getting her nails done is not seen in other facilities. The cleanliness of the home is excellent and is far better than most facilities I have seen. The staff are active with all the residents and communicate well with all of them, even the residents who have trouble communicating there needs. That is better than most facilities I have seen. Moms room, clothes, and mom herself are kept clean! I cannot say that about other facilities. So, you may ask why did I choose RMAL. It is not like any other facility I have ever been in. Let me explain my back ground and you will understand why I feel extremely confident in RMAL. I am a professional firefighter in the Denver area, and have 25 years of service behind me. In that time I cannot count the calls I have run in the multitude of assisted living and memory care homes. All of the situations I mentioned earlier in this post I have witnessed. Walking into a poorly run facility is a shock to the senses! the smell of urine, feces and over all filth is shocking at times. More than two residents living in a bedroom that you and sibling would not share is common. I see many residents in these homes not clean and they are slumped in there rooms with no interaction with anyone. Also the help I encountered were not active in helping the residents and just did the minimum. Also many do not speak English which is troubling for people of the generation we see. I swore I would never, ever put my mom in a facility of any kind after witnessing these things for so long. But, I had to come to the realization that I had to do it for my mom. I knew what I didn't want in a facility, and was very wary of all the facilities I visited. When I walked into the RMAL facility, or as I like to call it-A HOME, because that what it looks like and feels like right off the bat. I was truly grateful that I found this company and I was able to get mom in a beautiful room with good people, good food and great care. Take my word for it, it is the best place I have EVER been in. Believe me if there was a problem with this facility I would know it. I am there visiting almost everyday and I see and hear everything. I have not seen or heard anything that has changed my opinion of RMAL. If any problems arise, the staff is quick to remedy them and I am always notified of changes in staff and changes in activities and so on. You must realize that taking care of people with dementia is difficult and can be trying for the staff, but they pull it off smoothly. I have been very impressed with RMAL. RMAL is not the most expensive care facility out there, but I would have to say it is the best care out there. More money does not equal better care, BELIEVE ME!!! I would recommend RMAL to anyone who needs to make that difficult decision, its the correct decision. Mom and feel like Dave, the owner, all of the staff are family and we all enjoy time together. Thank you RMAL. Mike Scarpella
