Belmont Health and Rehab in Gastonia deserves more than 5 stars. My mawmaw was there for several weeks, and she was treated with so much kindness and care by everyone including housekeeping, maintenance, therapy, the CNAs, and the nurses. Mawmaw really did not want to go to a nursing home at first, but they made her feel comfortable and at home from the very beginning. If she ever has to go back, I truly hope they have a bed available for her. On her discharge day, everyone was sad to see her leave, and she still asks me about all the people there who left such a special mark on her. ❤️ A very special thank you to Ashley, the DON. Without your patience and support, I would have been a complete mess. Thank you for always being there for both me and my mawmaw. I love the way everything just flows there. Y’all keep doing what you’re doing because it truly works. Thank you Belmont Health and Rehab for treating my mawmaw like she was y’all’s own mawmaw. ♡

Whenever I'm at Belmont I catch warm authentic interactions between staff and residents. Whether it's "dancing" with someone in their wheelchair, promising to come back and take them to a planned activity or joining in on a singalong. It makes my heart happy. 🥰

Amazing staff and such a strong rehab team! My room stayed clean daily so I am appreciative of the cleaning staff. Facility was welcoming from the time I walked in and wished me luck on my way out. If I ever needed another stay for rehab, I would choose this place Every. Single. Time.

Today I was discharged home after 13 days of rehab. I was so nervous going in, I had never been in this situation before. The staff were so welcoming from day 1. Every question I had was answered almost immediately, even down to getting help labeling my laundry. The housekeeping staff greeted me every morning to ensure my room stayed tidy. The CNA’s and nurses were personable and treated me like they had known me before. Kayla kept me encouraged so that I could see my potential. Nadeah set up everything I needed for discharge and left nothing unturned. And all of the therapy department made working out so much fun! Not only did I discharge home today, I WALKED out the front door with FULL mobility. I am now booking my 34th wedding anniversary cruise with my husband, something I was afraid wouldn’t be possible. Thank you to Belmont Health and Rehab for working miracles on me!

The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The facility is clean, the rooms are very spacious and allows the residents to make it feel like home. The activity department always has fun events happening from bingo, arts and crafts, cooking classes and an afternoon coffee bar. I would recommend this facility for both short term rehab and/or long term placement!
