We had a good experience at Avantara Palos Heights when our uncle needed medical rehab after a hospital stay. They were kind, compassionate, and helpful. Tamara the social worker was extremely helpful with resources, and navigating new and uncharted waters in regard to next steps and Medicare logistics . Thank you all!

My mom is currently here for rehab and wound care. They are doing a great job on both. Rainey the social worker is amazing!! I have worked with 5 other social workers just this year alone for mom at various places. Rainey is the ONLY one who really guided us through the whole Medicare and appeal process. She’s easy to work with, actually answers her phone and checks in with my mom regularly. She seems to really enjoy her job!!

Avantara of Palos and the team that runs it are one of a kind. Open communication, friendly personalities and top quality care are some of the many things that you can expect from anyone working there. I have had the pleasure to work with Rainey on multiple occasions, she truly cares about her residents and their families. She goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone has the resources they need and that they are successful. If you have a loved one here or are considering a move here, you will not be disappointed!

After a short stay at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, I was once again faced with the decision to choose my home or a rehab to further my health's recovery. Having already experienced the Avantara rehab in Palos Heights, I was compelled to go to their friendly, clean atmosphere where a safer regimen awaited me with a very friendly and professional staff to facilitate my multiple needs. It wasn't long before I realized I'd left several personal items at Silver Cross. I brought this issue to the attention of an administrator whose name was Valerie. Although very intelligent and with the power of her title, one might be slightly 'guarded' until a decision has been made. Well, the truth is, the warmth in both her voice and smile immediately comforted me and made me feel like one of my daughters were helping me. The next thing I knew, due to Valerie"s efficient and immediate attention, my valuables had been gathered, transported and delivered to my room. The solution that I chose for my problem couldn't 'hold a candle' to Valerie's extremely considerate and expedited thinking. Avantara, thanks for choosing Valerie and Valerie,...THANKS for treating me like family !

My grandpa was at Avantara Palos Heights for rehab. Therapy department did a great job getting him back to walking, which was a huge struggle for him. He loved his cna's, they were very attentive to him. Want to thank Terri for working alongside him from the therapy department!
