I have lived in Arya for a year, living in an independent apartment. Am so pleased with my experience here, and the other residents. Lots of amenities to make life better and interesting. The management, caregivers, dining staff, nursing, all of them really care.So glad I moved here.

This is a HORRIBLE place for memory care patients. While the lobby of the place might entice you, they offer nothing else. The directors and some staff are disrespectful, rude, have no interest in helping or assisting, & lazy.<br><br>They couldn’t handle giving medication on time; the staff and head nurse Kate are not following the same timeframes and when speaking with both staff/ director they give you contradicting stories. The head nurse and director of maintenance are the rudest people I have encountered in such a place, where they should be helping the families and patients.<br>And don’t even bother, trying to speak to the main Director because he just takes his staff side without knowing the story and accuses the family.<br><br>We moved him out and when going thru his items when we got home we realized that several items are missing: clothes, 3 pairs of shoes. ( 2 newer pairs of Heydudes, one sketcher sneaker was missing). He had other people’s clothes mixed in his draws (with the other residence names labeled on the items), along with women’s clothing.<br><br>The best part is they said oh we found the sneakers and when I went to see them, they’re not even his, I don’t know who shoes they took, but I did return it to the head nurse and told her it wasn’t his.<br><br>They have a lot of young people working there and they don’t seem to care they’re on their phones, most don’t assist with feeding or doing much of anything. I’ve only had one fantastic nurse Allie, and she got stuck doing most of the work because she was a caring person.<br><br>This place is a total joke. Don’t waste your money and don’t let your loved one suffer in such a terrible place. And when we first moved my father in, they had another Director, who was robbing all the memory care patients/ residents, he was arrested.<br><br>I can go on and on, there’s a lot more to tell, so be aware and run far away from this place.

Many thanks to Arya at DeBary staff who cared for my parents over the memory care unit in their final years. We witnessed the bond that many of the staff members formed with each parents over time, and that meant a great deal to our family. Thank you!
