Everything I’ve heard about Edgewood Summit is true—it’s first class, well maintained, comfortable, in a beautiful location, and easy to find your way around in. What I didn’t expect to find was how accommodating and real the people are. Everyone was so attentive to my friend. They were easy to talk with and pleasant in their interactions. Smiles were everywhere!

My husband and I visited Edgewood Summit many times over several years. 2 years ago, we decided this was the place we wanted to live. I thought we should wait a little longer, but my husband insisted we were ready to make the move, so we made an appointment with Cherie Litton. She showed us an apartment that was just want we wanted- size, location, etc. My husband told her we would take it without even looking at me! It turned out that he was right to act quickly. We purchased the apartment but had not moved in yet before my husband had a serious leg injury that required surgery and 6 weeks of skilled nursing care, and required him to be in a wheelchair. After the skilled nursing stay, he required 1 year of physical therapy, both of which were provided at Edgewood Summit. The service here is amazing- I had help with moving in, making changes in our apartment for safety, lab-work in house, and the maintenance and housekeeping departments are wonderful. We had transportation to the doctor’s office in the Edgewood Summit van, which has a wheelchair lift, thankfully, since it was impossible for him to ride in a regular car. Having evening meals prepared after moving here is wonderful, as well, especially during the first month after moving here. We are glad we did not hesitate because dealing with this injury without the help of Edgewood Summit would have been very difficult. We are thankful and happy to be living here.

I have lived here at Edgewood Summit for 6 years. My life is so much simpler now than when I was a homeowner. I do not have to worry about who is going to mow my lawn, fix my broken water pipes or whatever else is broken! We have an excellent staff of repairmen here who are available for all our needs and provide these services with a smile. My housekeeper comes once a week and does light housekeeping which includes changing the bed sheets. We have a nice dining room for dining and a menu for a 5-course dinner, with the choice of 3 entrées. I can stay as busy as I want to or read a book (from our well-stocked library) for as long as I want, the choice is mine. I appreciate the fact that IF I ever have the need for Assisted Living, Memory Care or Skilled Nursing, I have it here at Edgewood Summit. We are one big happy Family here, Staff and Residents. We Residents are blessed to have a caring staff who always have a smile for us. Come up and visit us, I think you will like what you see.
