I have a brother-in-law that came from shore acres when it flooded out during the storm. He's now at Apollo and does not want to go back to shore. Acres, he wants to stay at Apollo because he loves it there. Billy Edwards is my brother-in-law.

The very lovely lady at the desk was so helpful. She was more than happy to asst with the operations of your new system and she ensured I was conformable with the above processes. The nurses that were responsible for my mother-in-law's care were super and caring.

Destiny is the Concierge extraordinaire! I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is. She is there for the patient and the family from the minute of arrival. She is positive, beyond helpful, and truly cares. Destiny goes above and beyond in every situation. I am so grateful for her and all she did during the time of my family member's stay. The staff consistently shows outward joy -- the facility is filled with happy sounds. That is a gift. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed in the rehabilitation services my family member was supposed to receive. She was brought to the therapy room and given a couple of exercises to do without having been evaluated by the PT or OT. After telling her what to do, they left her to her own without checking to be certain she was doing the exercises correctly (and the PT left the room without a word, never to return). One exercise given was almost impossible for her to do -- instead of revising it to meet her current ability level (while still providing a little bit of a challenge), the OT just told her to stop and said the session was done (she had only done two other exercises that session). Her therapy sessions were very brief, with gaps of time in doing anything at all (she was left alone for over 15 minutes to just sit as the OT disappeared). When the OT disappeared, I spoke with the Director of Therapy who simply said she would call him. No other help or discussion about what was going on. My family member's entire purpose for being at Apollo was PT and OT to gain strength after a lengthy hospital stay and she did not receive what she needed in therapy For Destiny and the staff, I would give Apollo 5 stars. They all deserve the highest praise. For the rehabilitation services, a 0 would be warranted if possible.

Having a family member permanently live in a facility can have its gives and takes. With that being said, the aides that routinely provide care for my family member who has been here for about 10 years now definitely make sure he's well taken care of at all times. Staff has been changing lately, but the new ones like the Admissions Director who has literally went above and beyond to meet our needs is definitely a positivec. However, they are determined to see things change for the better. Nothing is perfect no matter where you go, and my family member doesn't want to be moved to a new facility so they must be doing something right.

I went to visit my dad while he was staying at this nice, homelike place. He is enjoying his stay and likes all of the staff members. I ate lunch and it was very tasty. All of the people that I encountered were nice and very happy to help your. Each place that I visited there was clean and tidy. I would recommend it to friends and family alike.
