Terrifying Experience – Avoid at All Costs Laurellwood Care Center is not a safe place for anyone’s loved one. I honestly dislike writing bad reviews and I don't do it often, but this was so glaring I feel that I have to. From the moment we walked in, the facility felt dirty, rundown, and frankly scary. The staff turnover is constant — it seemed like a different crew almost every night, and no one knew what was going on. The list of ridiculous things that occurred is too long to list, but the most glaring issue is her near-death experience: My mother-in-law nearly died while in their care. She became septic, and instead of recognizing the signs, staff left her in a dangerously incoherent state. We happened to arrive to check on her, and we began to Google symptoms ourselves to figure out what was wrong. If WE hadn’t insisted that an ambulance be called hen we did, she would not be alive today. I would not trust them with your family member’s health or well-being.

I had a short but very positive experience with a loved one staying at Laurellwood Care Center. I would like to recognize the staff that works here. The staff is extremely professional, respectful, and most importantly-caring. I communicated specially with Linda (I believe front desk?) and their administrator, Miki. I would like to recognize Miki for her care, her attention to detail, and her professionalism. Would recommend to others, just because the staff is so exceptional. Thank you to this team.

I would not recommend this facility for anyone. It is the worst care. The couple (yes literally a couple people working the entire facility) of staff members they have are not helpful, caring, friendly and do as they please or don’t please. My family member has complained about them being mean and rough multiple times. The doctor on staff is horrible and clearly is out for his own gain regardless of best interest of the patient. The facility is disgusting and appears to be in need of major repair. Absolutely the worst experience and would not even but my worst enemy here. It should be closed down. Reading the other reviews I can’t help but wonder if those are actually from staff members as it doesn’t seem to reflect the true sentiment from patients.

This place is absolutely disgusting! I've been trying to get my mother in law moved from this hell hole. She has had several items stolen from her room! Blankets, shoes, money from her drawer. This place is the epitome of crappy Medicare facility. It smells the minute you walk in, the residents are NEVER happy, you hear people yelling across the halls for the nurse every time we visit. Its just an old dingy run down dungeon of a place where folks send their loved ones to rot and die. They really need to step it up and find the individual who keeps stealing from the residents! That's really low of someone to do that. I do NOT recommend this place not even to my worst enemy!
