These "healthcare professionals" taught a disabled patient with a nicotine cigarette addiction how to "roll tobacco cigarettes." After outright enabling and not treating the patient's addiction disorder in any way, the patient's health has deteriorated into a chronic kidney disease. These "healthcare professionals" do not treat, heal or rehabilitate patients; they go through the motions and keep the patients sick and in their unhealthy state to bill the insurance and collect funds.

Very kind staff who are willing to go the extra mile for their residents! Management and social services definitely deserve additional mention. Social services are willing to help find after care for their residents and are always there for their residents. Management consistently communicates with residents when needed. The behavioral aids and nursing staff are extremely kind and patient and treat every resident with kindness and respect.

I've lived here for 5 yrs. The staff are respectful and meet my needs both medically and mentally. The food is okay. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst I rate it a 6. Laundry is average. Sometimes clothes come back stained or missing. Housekeeping does an average job could improve if they had better cleaning mops and cleaning supplies. The building structure could be improved. Activities are okay. I enjoy Bingo and Pokeno and all the coloring sheets as well as the make and take and taste projects and Friday socials. Overall I like living here despite the things I mentioned above. It's a safe place to live and I've made it my home and the residents are my family.

I have lived at Aperion Care West Chicago for three and a half years. I can only speak about my experience at the Aperion Care West Chicago location. I spent my first five and a half months on third floor. Typically, their is a period of observation while on third to make sure you are stable before moving you to first or second. Once there was an opening, I moved to first floor into a two person room where I have been ever since. My interactions with staff have been positive. Volunteering to help with activities during activities is welcomed and has helped me feel connected to the community of people that live here. I am grateful to Aperion Care West Chicago staff for their helping me develop into a person that is changing for the better.
