One year later....<br><br>Anindell is still the answer to my search for lifestyle focused senior living. I spent two years touring retirement communities and found at Anindell a home that checks the boxes on my wish list.<br><br>I don't think there is another comparable senior living apartment complex in the Sacramento area. The building is well maintained. Luis and the maintenance and housekeeping teams are responsive and professional.<br><br>Anindell is a beautiful community with wellness and fun activities to appeal to a wide variety of interests. Art and fitness classes. Crafts and karaoke. Music, games, book club and potlucks. Activities are a highlight here.<br><br>Everyone who works at concierge are wonderful; Janiese, Krishna and Xol. Our activity director Rosemary, is great at setting up events and classes.<br><br>I have settled into my apartment and really appreciate it's open floor plan,designed for ease of use and simplicity while elegant and welcoming.<br><br>To all the staff at Anindell, thank you for making my first year here nothing short of wonderful.

My mother in law lives here and for whatever reason they cannot seem to accomodate her request for a handicapp spot. She cannot walk wihtout a walker. She has had a placard for 3 years and she is absolutely due a parking spot. They have other assigned spots and have continued to ignore her requests even after 5 weeks of cummications and escalations. What is wrong here? Feeling concerned about my Mother in law, Linda Kuckenbaker.

* Builder-grade rather than luxury appliances
* Poorly functioning dishwasher and refrigerator
* Heavy, non-automatic doors that are difficult to access
* Inadequate accessible parking distribution
* Lack of meaningful ADA accommodations
* Poor construction and finish quality
* Noise intrusion from nearby pickleball courts
* Minimal staffing and poor wayfinding/signage
* Overreliance on technology/apps for basic resident functions
* Amenities that feel more promotional than functional
I moved into this newly constructed “luxury” apartment less than 3 weeks ago expecting basic systems to function properly. Unfortunately, from the start, there have been multiple issues affecting daily living.
Kitchen cabinets do not close properly and must be forced shut. The refrigerator makes loud moaning/grinding noises, and the water dispenser leaks, leaving a chalky residue trail. Water drips into the freezer leaving heavy layers of ice on food stuff. The temperature appears to fluctuate so that the frozen water melts, consolidates and refreezes making food in the freezer unsafe to eat. The water from the refrigerator dispenser also tastes noticeably unpleasant. Using a home water quality tester, the reading measured 33, compared to 0 from filtered Culligan water, suggesting a significant difference in water quality.
There are also electrical concerns. Two kitchen outlets do not work, and one outlet plate is loose from the wall, which raises safety concerns when using standard appliances.
The kitchen faucet temperature is inconsistent and difficult to control. The handle orientation is reversed (up = cold, down = hot), and at times only hot water is available, making it difficult to safely access cold water.
In addition, I submitted a request for disability-related accommodations, including accessible parking and assistance with entry access. As of this review, there has been a significant delay in implementation despite follow-ups. This includes concerns regarding the lack of accessible or automatic entry doors. The existing doors are large, heavy, and difficult to open, which makes building access challenging and impacts my ability to safely enter and exit the property. Handicap-accessible parking is also limited and not located in close proximity to my unit, further impacting accessibility.
There are also ongoing noise concerns. The pickleball court located on the property is used nightly (approximately 7–10 PM), with multiple players and spectators. The noise—including the sharp impact of the ball and cheering—is clearly audible inside my unit, even with windows closed, affecting the ability to enjoy a quiet living environment.
Management and maintenance responses have been slow, inconsistent, and often dismissive of ongoing accessibility, maintenance, and quality-of-life concerns.
For a newly built property marketed at this price point, basic functionality, accessibility, and quiet enjoyment should not be ongoing issues.
I really can’t say enough good things about Anindell. Everyone that works here is so friendly and helpful. They all want to make sure the residents are having the best experience possible. And the same goes for the residents, they’re some of the friendliest people I’ve met.
The apartments are beautiful and so is the entire complex. There are a lot of great amenities such as a media room/movie theater, yoga studio and fitness center. Plus, there are multiple activities going on every day. I really consider myself lucky to have found Anindell.
