1 / 5Reviews of Aliya of Homewood are sharply divided: many families describe attentive, compassionate staff and successful short-term rehab stays, while a large number of others report serious neglect, unsafe conditions, and communication breakdowns during long-term and short-term stays alike. The facility handles both skilled nursing and rehabilitation cases, and outcomes seem to vary a great deal depending on staffing levels at the time.

I'm filled with guilt for leaving my LO there.
The facility is filthy, and the residents' rooms are shabby. The parent company, Legacy something or another, is raking in money from this place & all the others they're buying up in the area. They need to invest some of that money back into the patients.
When I brought up the things I've found lacking or just wrong, I was asked why I didn't bring it to their attention sooner. As if it's MY responsibility to stay on top of the maintenance & other issues.
I keep adding to this bc I'm bringing things to their attention & those things aren't being addressed. I asked them to clean the floor & area under my LO's bed & it looks like all they did was move the dirt & debris around.
Another update...I found a smashed vial from a blood test outside the entrance.

It's been about a year since corporate commented saying they would address the issues, THEY HAVE DONE ABSOLUTEY NOTHING TO CORRECT ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS!
It's been almost 2 weeks since I complained to the DON about the food they're feeding my diabetic loved one. They're still feeding her meals that make her sugars skyrocket!

The state has been there, the state doesn't care.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves, and this is just a few!😡 My relative was in this facility for a few months. And despite Multiple Conversations About these issues. Very little changed. Upon my initial meeting with administration I was told that my relative would Be assigned to what is called a "guardian angel". This was supposed to be my go to person for Concerns I may have for my relative. On one occasion, I asked the nurse to speak with My family member's guardian angel, she laughed and said what is that I have never heard of that!!! The last time I visited the humane society for animals it was cleaner than this And Even the customer service was better. The upper management listens very patiently It speaks to you kindly but in reality, Very little is ever done To rectify the issues.

This place is trash my mom has been here for about 2 weeks and from her experience the is place is inhumane ….the staff have messed up attitudes, the facility stinks coming thru the door, this morning she had a bug on her food tray and staff dragged their feet handling the situation, they don’t know how to follow procedure when it come to certain processes with patients, and they simply don’t take good care of patients…
