The process of discharge was less than. The information given was brief. Medications were not gone over and we had no idea we were to get with family dr for medications that had been added. Communication was a problem throughout our stay. Unfortunately we were not pleased overall with the stay.

Our family had a very positive experience with Alexandria Care Center. From the administration team to the nursing staff, we always felt welcomed, respected, and heard. The DON and administrator were both professional, compassionate, and willing to listen whenever we had questions or concerns. Any time we brought something to management’s attention, it was addressed quickly and thoughtfully, which gave our family a lot of peace of mind. The communication throughout the facility was always smooth, and you could tell the staff worked together as a team. The environment felt caring, organized, and supportive, not only for the residents but for families as well. The staff members were kind, attentive, and hardworking, and it was obvious they truly cared about the people living there. Most importantly, my grandma felt safe, loved, and comfortable every single day. She always talked about how friendly everyone was and how much she enjoyed activities like Bingo and spending time with the other residents. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and she genuinely enjoyed being there. The facility itself was always very clean, well maintained, and pleasant to visit. Call lights were answered in a timely manner, staff checked on residents often, and there was always someone willing to help. We appreciated the attentiveness and compassion shown to our family member throughout her stay. It is never easy trusting others with the care of someone you love, but Alexandria Care Center gave our family confidence that my grandma was being treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We are truly grateful for the care she received and would absolutely recommend this facility to other families looking for quality care for their loved ones.

am extremely disappointed with the way this nursing home is run. From leadership all the way down, the environment feels disorganized, unprofessional, and uncaring. Jennifer, the administrator, and Jenny, the Assistant Director of Nursing, seem completely disconnected from what is actually happening on the floor. There is a clear lack of leadership, accountability, and compassion. The staff are treated poorly, and it shows in their morale. Many of them appear overworked, unsupported, and frustrated. When management fails to support their team, the residents ultimately suffer. There seems to be constant turnover, short staffing, and very little communication. It feels chaotic rather than structured and supportive. Most importantly, my family member’s care has been deeply concerning. There is a noticeable lack of attentiveness, delayed responses to call lights, and minimal personal interaction. Residents often seem left alone for long periods, and there is very little warmth in the atmosphere. A nursing home should feel safe, caring, and dignified — this place does not. What was especially upsetting was my interaction with Jenny, the Assistant Director of Nursing. She acted like she was going to seriously address the concerns I brought to her. She listened and gave the impression that action would be taken. However, shortly after our conversation, I overheard her around the corner speaking more about her nursing degree and making comments that made it clear she had no intention of actually addressing the issues. It felt dismissive and disrespectful, as if my concerns — and more importantly, my family member’s well-being — did not matter at all. Instead of proactive leadership, concerns are brushed aside. Rather than solutions, there are excuses. It is heartbreaking to see a facility that should prioritize vulnerable residents operate with such poor oversight and lack of compassion. I would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality, respectful care for their loved one.

Avoid this place like the plague. They keep parents locked up and away from family. They tell lies and ruin lives. Horrible experience and they hate hospice. Please do yourselves a favor and avoid this place.
