I couldn’t have been happier with the care my mother received. The meals were home cooked and healthy. They got my mother up and made sure she was involved with the other residents. It was also a very clean home environment! We were very satisfied, I highly recommend this location.

Thank you, Gloria, for taking such wonderful care of Carrie, my wife of 56 years! You really were her angel! She loved you! You could sing with her, joke with her, exercise with her, pray with her! You could make her happy, during the most difficult time of her life. I came to visit almost every day, twice a day! She was always clean, in clean bedclothes, in a clean bed, in a clean room. If I happened to come during mealtime-you would be feeding her, patiently. You would ask, "How do you like it, Carrie?" We laughed one time when she responded, "delicious!" Or you would tell her, " your boyfriend is here, Carrie!" And, as hard as it was for her, it made Carrie smile when I walked up to her bed. Carrie was the most important thing in my life. I loved her, and still love her, so much! I entrusted her with Gloria, and am so glad to have done so. Gloria never let me down, and I would do it again, and again! Gloria-Thank you for being there for us!

I am another assisted living homeowner in the area and I refer families to Gloria (the owner) when I don’t have a vacancy. Alaga is my first choice for assisted living homes in Surprise when I try to find a home for a family. The home is beautiful and the staff keep it very clean. The whole staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help the residents. The residents always seem happy and active, which tells you Gloria and her employees do a great job.

Alaga Residential Assisted Living was recommended by a hospice team that evaluated our mother at a rehabilitation facility. It was determined her dementia was getting worse, along with her increased poor health and the loss of independent mobility. Our family was told it would be in Mom's best interest to find a permanent nursing or care home because she would need round-the-clock care by professionals. After touring Alaga and meeting Gloria and her staff, we felt comfortable with the move. Gloria is wonderful and so is her staff. Gloria has a very clean and inviting home, and she's very organized with paperwork and medication schedules. They keep only 5-6 residents versus a larger facility, so Gloria and her team are able to be more attentive to their residents' needs. This was very important to us as Mom's memory was fading quickly, and it was crucial to surround her with familiar faces to keep her confusion to a minimum. The staff is very friendly, and they maintain a pleasant environment.<br><br>Gloria works well with various hospice teams and has some great connections in the medical field. When our mom arrived to live out the last 7 months of her life, Gloria and her team (especially Lili) worked in harmony with True North Hospice. Both groups were compassionate and patient with our mom. Even though we visited often, the hospice team and Gloria always kept in contact and provided updates. It's never easy losing a loved one, but our family is very grateful our mom was well taken care of at this assisted living residence.

Immediately after touring Alaga Group Home and meeting Gloria and her staff, I knew this was the right place for my senior father, who suffered with dementia. They took exceptional care of him and connected us with hospice services as needed. Gloria provided us with daily updates which was important since my siblings and I lived out of state. She took the time to explain his needs and care with us and was extremely caring and compassionate with my father’s lady friend. I would highly recommend Alaga Residential Assisted Living Group Home!
