I need to be productive where I live. Dena, Lisa and Julie have set me up with various activies and tasks to keep me active. There are many benefits here that are not listed in our brochure that add value to being a resident at Woodland Village. We have very active residents that work together to create meaningful events like pizzas parties and coffee and conversation that make this a great place to live. Emily our massage therapist is great also if you ever have time to get a massage see her. If you are ever looking for a place to live Woodland will make you happy!

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. All of the staff were terrific, but I need to acknowledge Dena and Mindy who were a tremendous support during a very challenging time for us. I can’t say enough how much we appreciate and value the experience here.

This place is fanatic. The staff goes above and beyond for their patients. As medical personal, my team and I absolutely love coming here to see the patients and the office staff. I would totally send my elderly family members here and special shoutout to Vanessa!

Best decision my father ever made! This independent apartment community is amazing. So many opportunities for exercise, fun activities like card games, bingo, crafts, etc., outings (even on some Saturdays) to dinner, movies, fishing, casinos, etc., options to worship, rides to local shops, drugstores, appointments, etc. You’re as busy as you want to be But the very best part of this community is the people. The other community members are sooo welcoming. (Since my husband and I are relatively new to Brighton also, I’m pretty sure most of my “friends” are members of this community (LOL) - and I couldn’t be happier. ❤️) Almost everyone takes the time to meet new residents when they move in. What a blessing that was for my dad! The other incredible people in this community are the staff. Dining room staff, Nancy, Jill, Tina, Sheila, Janet, and Olivia (in no particular order) - so attentive! Kitchen staff, David and his staff (I’m sorry I don’t know their names) - yummy! Front desk, Lisa - on it! Debbie, sales - killing it! Director, Vanessa / door is open! Everyone is so nice and accommodating, but I have to give a special shoutout to my girl Dena. Dena is the Director of Hospitality and best friend of all residents and their family members (like me). She’s always willing to check on my dad if I have concerns and can’t get there. I see her there at odd times when I KNOW she’s “done for the day - or week”. Dena tracks the residents like she’s on a scavenger hunt. If someone that normally is at a specific meal and doesn’t show up, she checks to find out why. If they’re sick or overslept, she asks if they want a meal and makes sure they get it. She is truly a wonderful person. I can’t imagine this place without her. I really love all the staff, but Dena made my dad’s (and the family’s) transition SOOO much easier. My father looked at all the options in Brighton and decided this was the best fit for him. Honestly, he struggled with the move after leaving his condo in Plymouth where he’d lived for over thirty years, but the entire staff, especially Dena and the community members, helped him transition. I’d say it took six months for him to “get settled” and feel like it was his home. Suddenly, he started being the guy showing people how to get around when one of the elevators was out for a day. HE sits with someone sitting alone so they don’t have to eat alone. He still complains and commiserates (with his new friends) about not being able to drive any more, and missing his old neighborhood and friends there, but it’s now been a year and a half and he says this was the right move for him. We love this place.

We moved our 95 year old Mom into Woodland Village 4 years ago after the passing of our Dad. After my sister's took our Mom to a handful of facilities Mom decided this would be the best fit for her. We thought this would be the best way for her to keep her independence. For 3 years the daily events in the facility and trips to events around the area were outstanding and Mom was fulfilled. Unfortunately, as time pasted more care was needed and it was decided she should be moved to assistant living for 7 months. There is not just one person that made this transition happen. It was every facility staff member. Everyday there was continuous professionalism, kindness, sense of urgency, and love from the staff during her time in Independent and Assistant living. We would like to say thank you and we would highly recommend this facility
