4 stars for the care provided, 1 star for customer service, 2.5 stars overall. Two issues brought the rating down: 1. Lack of caregiver preparation. The caregivers were not informed about my mother's condition or needs prior to arrival. 2. A billing dispute handled poorly from start to finish. I paid in full before services began. When a small amount of additional time was used, I expected a balance invoice. Instead, I received a bill for the full original amount plus the extra time, as if my prior payment never happened. After several follow-ups and nearly a month, I received a paper statement showing $358.75 as 1-30 days past due and -$315.00 as 31-60 days past due, with a handwritten note to remit the past due amount. Again, I had already paid $315 before the first day of service. Only $43.75 was ever in question, yet the statement classified $358.75 as past due. When I flagged the "past due" language and asked that no derogatory information be reported to my mother's credit, I received this response: "...attached is the invoice showing the past due amount of $43.75. Please review and let know if you have any questions. As far as a 'derogatory' on your mother's credit we do not report to the credit bureaus. When we run into situations that are deemed uncollectable, we typically take legal action. If you would like to discuss this further, over the phone, so we can resolve the amount due, please call me at [redacted]. Otherwise I will look forward to this amount, being paid." The credit bureau clarification was fine. Everything else was not. Invoking legal action over $43 that was only outstanding because of their own billing error and delay was unnecessary and condescending. This balance was not past due. They had just sent me a corrected invoice. Makes me wonder if they treat all clients like this (or just certain ones). Not once did I get an apology. I will not be using this company again and cannot recommend them.
