The staff was nice, attentive and took very good care of me while I was there for 10 weeks. The food was good, with a few odd items here and there, but overall better than expected. Overall pretty good!

Heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Neighborhoods of White Lake who took care of our mother these past 2.5 ish years. Nurses, aides, physical therapists, kitchen and housekeeping staff, and St Croix hospice staff are wonderful. You were all there to help us understand, gifted us with hugs, shoulders to grieve, and kind words that were so very much appreciated. Blessings to you all for your important work.

The staff was always caring and concerned for my Mom. Her room was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly with me and always answered my questions. When it was time for hospice, the nurse helped me by contacting them for me. The staff was always available for support.

I want to share a concern about how patient care and mealtime services are managed at Trinity Health White Lake. CNAs are being stretched far beyond their role, which affects both residents and staff. For example, breakfast is at 8:00 AM, but CNAs must make sure meal orders are collected before that time. If the previous shift didn’t complete this task, the morning CNA has to catch up on meal tickets while also getting residents up, dressed, teeth brushed, and to the dining room in time for breakfast. On top of this, CNAs are responsible for making sure every meal is correct. If something is wrong, the CNA has to run around fixing it — meanwhile, residents’ food is getting cold. At lunch (around 12:00), therapy often pulls residents out without a set schedule, so they return to cold meals that need to be reheated. Dinner is served at 5:45, and by that time many residents are already in bed, so the CNA must split their attention between the few residents at the table and those already in bed who still need cleaning and care. All of this is placed on one CNA who may be responsible for up to 11 residents at once. CNAs are trained for direct patient care — not dietary management — yet they are left trying to juggle both roles. The result is delayed care, cold meals, and staff who feel ashamed they cannot give residents the timely help they deserve. The staff here work very hard and truly care about the residents, but they are put in an impossible position due to poor staffing and unrealistic expectations. I hope leadership takes this seriously and reassigns meal service duties to dietary staff so CNAs can focus on what they are trained for: patient care.

I am really sad that it’s come to this, but now I have to leave a bad review. This place is severely understaffed. There is no longer a front desk person, and it’s like the Shining walking the halls searching for staff. My grandmother has dementia and cannot shower or dress herself. The staff doesn’t want to deal with her, so she sits in filth for 2-3 weeks at a time. Wearing the same clothes stained with EVERY meal she’s eaten for the past 2/3 weeks. This is elder abuse and I will be filing a complaint with the State and Medicaid. Unfortunately this is what happens when staff and leadership ignore phone calls and complaints. Courtney- you promised that things would change. Ann- how many meetings do we need? Maryann- seems like you’re trying, but you’ve failed us. This place seemed nice at first, but now the staff has disappeared. Try finding someone on a weekend. Better yet, go visit your loved one, take them out of the facility, and see how long it takes for staff to realize your loved one is gone. We have given this place SO many chances, but unfortunately it has gone waaaaaaay downhill.
