We brought my mother-in-law out here from San Diego to tour Wingate. This was her favorite place out of the 6 places we toured. Everything was so open, bright and is very modern. Maggie was amazing! She went above and beyond to make my mother-in-law (and us!) feel comfortable, welcome and excited about this change as did the staff and the residences. I would look no further! The only reason we did not pick Wingate is because we realized it was too far away from us and our mother-in-law needs more needs us closer by. Don’t hesitate to put Wingate on your list!

Both of my parents have been residents at Wingate on the Eastside, in the Assisted Living and now in the Memory Care. So I feel I can speak to both areas and give my overall rating of “Top Notch”! The staff are wonderful and truly caring people, from nursing, activities, and all support staff that keep the place running smoothly, to the supervisors and administrators. We have felt welcomed and supported from day one by all. The meals are delicious (as my mother says, “I’m fussy and so if I like it, you know it’s good!”). The activities calendar keeps them busy, always something going on in The Neighborhood, and on both sides, an impressive caliber of musical entertainment for all tastes (yes “the oldies” which are always fun, but also a Broadway singer, a lively Honky Tonk piano player, Classical musicians, even an interactive drumming circle, to name just a few!) There is always an adjustment from leaving one’s home to living at an Assisted Living. But I can’t tell you how much comfort it gave me when my mother recently said to me, as we were sitting together, just enjoying the outdoor patio and admiring the flowers, “This is a really nice place you found for us”. Simply said, and the best way I can sum up this review!

When I first entered the doors into Wingate, I was greeted by abundant sunshine and wonderful staff. The place is immaculate. Not a speck of dirt anywhere, which is important to me. I couldn’t even find a trash bin, which is in the building, but out of sight. Walls freshly painted. Since this is where I live right now, it is important that I feel at home. The staff goes above and beyond creating an atmosphere that feels like home.

Wingate on the East Side is a beautiful place with incredible people! We recently used their short-stay (“respite”) option for my mother during unexpected home repairs to see if residential living was a good fit for her.<br><br>A few key highlights from our experience:<br><br>• Responsive & Attentive Staff: On extremely short notice, the team set her up in a darling apartment. Despite the fast turnaround, they took time to really listen to my mother's questions, making her feel welcomed and safe.<br><br>• Welcoming Atmosphere: The environment is light, open, and clean. There are plenty of activities available, as well as quiet areas to sit, watch birds, and enjoy the flowers.<br><br>• Resort-Like Feel: It truly feels like a full-time retreat!<br><br>She hasn’t been there long, but I strongly recommend Wingate to anyone who values positive staff, a client-centered approach, and a beautifully kept environment.
