Please be careful where you place your loves this place is awful. The social worker there is useless the Elizabeth Garcia. The communication is terrible, all my years in the nursing field what I experienced I would Never recommend the facility to anyone.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. if you have a loved one in need of around the clock care I would never bring them here. My husband came here after a major surgery removing blood clots from his leg at RI hospital. A little bit of context my husband has a history of heart attack and stroke, he’s also a diabetic. We were told this facility could give him around the clock care and attend to his wounds post surgery. Not even 24 hours in we needed to call the ambulance to pick him up. The CNA couldn’t tell him the medication she was administering to him. She was putting on the blood pressure cuff incorrectly ( Eunice from administration had to correct her and put it on right so she could get a reading) and he was missing medication specifically his blood thinner medication ( he has a replacement valve and requires this medication every day just to stay alive) that were necessary. He went all night without anyone answering his call button. He had to get on his phone at 4am and call through the main line to get someone to come up to assist him. His surgery made it so that he couldn’t move around because the surgery was done to his leg. He was hooked up to a wound VAC that at one point wasn’t even suctioning correctly (he had to adjust it himself). I get a call from him and he’s telling me he’s dizzy, something is wrong and he doesn’t feel good. He can’t feel his leg. No no one’s helping him. He’s telling me that the CNA that’s helping him is giving him attitude, being sarcastic, telling him he’s over reacting, so we took it upon ourselves to call 911. 911 tells us that because he’s in the facility, the staff has to be the one to call 911. So he tells the nurse to call 911. Instead of calling 911 this guy tells him that he’s overreacting. Proceeds to sit down and start filling out paperwork. For the next 20 min my husband is in front of this guy begging him to pick up the phone and call 911. He feels like he’s passing out, something is seriously wrong. It got to the point were I had to get on the phone and literally yell at him that he has a history of heart attack and and stroke that if he is telling them that he needs to have an ambulance come then he needs to have an ambulance come. My husband is not a drug addict. I understand this is a rehab and there’s protocol but he is not a drug addict from off the street. He is just a man that needed 24 hour care after his operation. They treated him like he was a drug addict. Finally, after me literally yelling at him he calls 911 and 911 came and picked my husband up to find out that his bandages were wrapped incorrectly around his leg and was cutting circulation off from his foot and that his blood sugar was at a 30. My husband could’ve lost his life and his leg if he would’ve spent another night in this place. They are not competent. Their teams are not trained in medical care. Not only that, but the facility is severely outdated and doesn’t come across as clean. I mean, the nurse was administering his injections while he was in the hallway as I was walking him around. There’s no professionalism or protocol in place and quite honestly it doesn’t seem like the people they wanna do their jobs.

I would strongly advise against placing a loved one at this facility. If I could give zero stars, I would.<br><br>My mother, who has a history of falls and is on blood thinners, was admitted here and was not provided with basic safety precautions such as a bed alarm or walker. Within approximately five hours of being there, she fell and hit her head.<br><br>What is even more concerning is how the situation was handled. Instead of immediately seeking medical attention, staff simply helped her back into bed. I had provided my contact information in person about an hour prior, yet I was never notified of the incident—I only found out because my mother contacted me.<br><br>When I called and requested that she be sent to the hospital, I was told they needed supervisor approval and that I would receive a call back. I drove to the facility myself kind of knowing that I would have issues . I arrived 30/40 mins after speaking on phone and I call back still. When I arrived, it was clear no action had been taken yet still on the phone , employees face dropped when she saw me coming in.<br><br>I repeatedly asked staff to call emergency services due to the serious risk associated with a head injury while on blood thinners. I told them if they did not call right now I would personally wheel my mother out myself .The response I received was alarming—they threatened to call 911 on me instead of prioritizing my mother’s care. I ultimately had to insist that emergency services be called immediately.<br><br>This experience was deeply upsetting and, in my opinion, reflects a serious lack of urgency, communication, and proper care.<br><br>Please think carefully before trusting this facility with someone you love.<br><br>#You can play with your family’s life’s , do not play with mine !
