Scary experience when on discharge day, the nurse Regina, bathing my mother missed handle her and dislocated her hip. Went on to not recognize what happened, dressed her, sat her on a wheel chair and gave her tramadol for pain. It was not until I arrived at 11:30am on discharge day to pick up my mom that since she was crying I realized her hip was dislocated. I called the staff, told them what I saw and they all disregard my claim until they spent 30 minutes trying to get hold of the doctor. My mother had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance. She had to undergo procedures to put the hip in place. She had be readmitted at the hospital with complications since liquid formed around her hip due to the trauma she experienced from Nurse Regina leaving her sitting down for so long. My mom spent 5 days at the hospital and is now at another Rehab Center in Bethesda starting from zero to recuperate. Her self confidence is shattered, her hip is fragile and weak and needs to go through PT and OP for an undetermined time at this point. I left a message for The administrator Rachael, I have asked Doctor Yaya, Nursing Director to please have the administrator call me and nothing. At this point or the Administrator Rachael does not know that this happened or if she knows she does not care nor thinks it is worth her time to contact our family. Do not send your love one to this place. Their nurse staff needs training and the administrator needs to show more ownership on what is going on at her facility.
