We put my brother in law there shortly after he turned 55 because of dementia issues. Even tho he was by far the youngest person there, he was never made to feel unwelcome, uncomfortable or unaccepted by any of the staff or other residents. He was given opportunities to shine by allowing him to have a purpose by doing things he was capable of doing. He was encouraged by staff and other residents to be the best he could possibly be. We came to visit him as frequently as we could. But because we lived in different states (Missouri and Oklahoma) it wasn’t as often as probably recommended. We never announced our arrival dates or times to staff and not once did we show up to find situations that were questionable. Because we were away so often, they lived on him like family. Were they perfect, I’m certain they were not. But the love and attention I witnessed to not just my brother in law, but the other residents was truly astounding. If I lived in Lubbock and had to go to a facility, there is no doubt in my mind that I would choose Wilshire.

We placed our loved one in a home at Wilshire on 4th in 2023. The staff immediately set out to make them feel like it was their own place. They work with each of their residents to find a schedule that works with the person. They accommodated meals in the room for most of a year. They handle meds and refills when needed. They do all of the personal care including haircuts and nail trims right at the facility, if desired. They plan daily, weekly and seasonal activities and programs. My loved one loves the auctions where they can win incidentals. All in all, it feels like they treat him as their own sweet grandpa. We love the staff and they love him. Win on our first placement and highly recommend.

We have had three loved ones cared for by Wilshire during the past 15 years. We have had positive experiences. They have so many events and activities available tailored to the variety of levels. They have everything from devotionals to parties. I have very good communication with management should any issues or concerns arise. Our loved ones have felt safe, comfortable and part of a community, which is what we wish for in an Assisted Living facility.

my father enjoyed his stay at Wishire until his passing. Enjoyed the events, arts and crafts, etc. that the staff put together as well the care team that took care of him.

My grandpa goes here and The lady named Olivia is horrible. She is the worst care taker I have ever met in my life and I do not know how she is certified to work there.My grandpa told me that sometimes he’ll call for her and she will be asleep. This is very unprofessional and I don’t know what I would do if my grandpa was hurt due to the lack of someone not paying attention and neglecting not only my grandpa but everyone there. Once again I do not think she should have a job there because she is very unprofessional and overall a bad person please look into her and do something please!
