Lupe was amazing during the process to get my dad admitted. She really took her time to make sure we had everything in order and quickly to be prepared for when my dad was discharged from the hospital. When we arrived the team was super friendly and felt very attentive. We have visited a few times since his arrival and the team knew exactly who we were coming to visit updating us on adjustment so far. I even got a text from Lupe mentioning that saw my dad on a Sunday and said he doing well.

Choosing a facility is never easier, but having a place that still sees their residents as people made this transition much easier.

Truly enjoyed the wonderful tour. Lupe had me set in stone to sign up our family member. Her warmth and attention to detail was all I needed to truly confirm. It honestly felt like home and I know this is the place and person we needed in our lives! Can’t wait to have staff turn into family I hope they’re ready for all my baking!

The memory care unit at this facility appears to be significantly understaffed, making it difficult to provide the level of 24/7 care that is advertised. When our loved one first arrived, the care and attention seemed excellent. However, after a few months, the quality of care declined noticeably. At admission, our loved one was able to walk, feed herself, and manage basic hygiene. Within approximately three months, her condition deteriorated rapidly. She spent most of her time in bed and struggled to walk or even lift her head. Although she required assistance with meals, we frequently found untouched food trays left in her room. Additionally, she was often left in the same clothing for multiple days and experienced recurrent urinary tract infections. Once we were able to transfer her to another facility, her condition improved dramatically. She regained the ability to walk and resumed managing her basic hygiene needs—an outcome that felt nothing short of remarkable. When we raised concerns and ultimately decided to move our loved one, the facility’s director attributed responsibility elsewhere rather than addressing the issues. We were informed that one nurse was responsible for as many as 15 patients due to staffing shortages. Unfortunately, instead of resolving these shortages, it appeared that operations continued without sufficient personnel to meet residents’ needs. We want to emphasize that we do not place blame on the staff members themselves. They appeared to be doing their best under extremely challenging circumstances with limited support. The memory care unit environment was also highly restrictive. Residents were rarely able to go outdoors unless accompanied by family, and participation in activities seemed limited to within a locked hallway. The individuals in this unit are kind, deserving people, and it is deeply concerning to see them receive what feels like inadequate attention and engagement. Overall, our experience raises serious concerns about staffing levels, quality of care, and the overall well-being of residents in the memory care unit.
