nursing staff is incompetent. my mother had a stroke under thier care and instead of attempting to get her help they simply forced food down her throat. most nursing homes suck, but this one is truely beyond unreasonable. if you care for your loved ones look for another place to go- or at least check on them everyday.

Update: I’m unimpressed with all of the inconsistencies. With education, information, and timing of meds/wound care. Again there are a couple nurses that seem to care and all the CNAs have been great. But when your wounds are to be changed every 12 hr and yet your left 20hr before the next nurse “makes time” for you 30 minutes before shift end…… I’m scared that they don’t have the staff or resources here to provide timely care. Update: The CNAs have been amazing, our nurse Sherri has also been wonderful to get to know. We’re thankful for the attention this review gained and the way our concerns and needs were addressed. My husband is there and in need of attention and it’s been 6 hours of his nurse coming in and saying “I’ll be back” and never coming! Then they tell my husband that he isn’t supposed to be walking alone and yet when he has to go to the bathroom again nobody comes to his call light. So he’s struggled and did it himself!!! Maybe it’s the first night blues but I can’t imagine this will go well if it starts like this. Is love a call from someone because this behavior ain’t it! Update after 8 hours my husbands nurse came in to his call light and said she was doing med pass during all that and had to finish it first before helping him….. 8 hours of med passing…..and a shift change ….. are we being lied to?!

The care that I get from nursing is great! Everyone has an upbeat attitude. Therapy keeps you going. Everyone in therapy was happy, even the patients. Family is able to go to therapy with you. They have all kinds of activities. They have lots of things to do all the time. I don't get bored here.

I wish to share my sincere appreciation for the exceptional environment Willowbrook has created at their facility. Of all the healthcare and nursing facilities I visit across Genesee, Oakland, and Livingston counties, Willowbrook stands out the moment I walk through the door. There are specific things I notice about nursing facilities, and cleanliness is chief among them. It is clear that they take excellent care of their patients and the building. However, what truly gave me pause and prompted this recommendation is the wonderfully positive atmosphere created by Willowbrook's staff. Regardless of which hallway I walk into, I encounter no negativity or attitude. Even knowing the staffing shortages and stressful situations common in this industry, the team at Willowbrook goes above and beyond to maintain a caring environment. I have seen the food they serve, and it looks delicious. From the onsite dialysis clinic to the seamless coordination of medical transportation, it is evident that patient care is the top priority. I can say without a doubt that if I ever personally needed short-term rehab or long-term care, I would seek out this facility. Two thumbs up to the nursing staff, physical therapy, housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance, activities department, and the entire administrative team, and any other department that I missed. Thank you for all that you do. I noticed. ------ Note: To those making the assertion that individuals providing positive reviews are either family members or employees, I can confirm regarding my review, this is not the case. I serve as a service provider for numerous healthcare facilities across Southeast Michigan.
