If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This facility is nothing more than a money racket.
In 2015, my mother moved into a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony at this community, paying over $60,000 upfront—despite her children strongly advising against it. Over the years, her rent increased annually, eventually forcing her to downsize to an efficiency apartment about two years later. Even then, her rent continued to increase every single year during the nearly ten years she lived there.
In December 2024, my mother suffered a stroke and was transferred to rehabilitation and then skilled nursing. In January 2025, we were given only 30 days to remove her belongings from the efficiency apartment or be charged additional fees on top of the $10,000 per month she was already being billed for skilled nursing. My mother passed away in May 2025.
Adding to our grief, the CEO of this organization attended and officiated my mother’s graveside service. Instead of offering comfort, he spoke about his own hardships and referenced dissatisfaction over negative reviews I had written about the skilled nursing facility. This was deeply inappropriate, disrespectful, and embarrassing for our family and friends. It has also become clear that this organization aggressively monitors and confronts families about negative reviews, which is insulting and unprofessional.
Months later, they have still refused to return my mother’s entrance deposit. The agreement was that the $60,000 deposit would be reduced by the skilled nursing balance of approximately $24,000. This was confirmed in writing by their controller. Despite this, no refund has been issued. After countless calls, emails, and ultimately the involvement of an attorney—something that should never have been necessary—we were informed that none of the deposit would be returned.
We were also told that my mother’s efficiency apartment had been rented, despite it having sat vacant for nearly a year. To make matters worse, they are now threatening to turn my mother’s estate over to a collection agency for unpaid skilled nursing fees, even though my sister has made numerous attempts since May to resolve and pay the balance. They have gone so far as to suggest that we should be “grateful” they have not yet sent the account to collections.
This experience has been devastating. My mother was not a wealthy woman, and it is heartbreaking to watch what little she had left be taken from her estate. It was clear during her residency that she was not treated as valued because of her dementia and lack of wealth. Now, our family cannot even close her estate or begin to heal because of these ongoing, unnecessary actions.

Families should be extremely cautious. This organization appears to prioritize money and reputation over dignity, compassion, and ethical treatment of residents and their families. Shame on this facility and its leadership for allowing these actions to occur.

Westminster Towers has been an amazing place for my step - dad during his respite care stay. The staff are amazing and do genuinely care for the individuals in the facility. Dawn, the marketing assistant, was an extreme asset and so helpful in coordinating his arrival to the facility and once arrived, Eladio was so kind and knowledgeable regarding helping us navigate his arrival to the new facility. Once there the nursing care staff, Dashana and Dawn, have been so attentive, kind and caring. I appreciate everything the staff at Westminster have done to support and care for him.

Great room for the price. It was so nice to be in the same building as our friends we were visiting. It was also nice to be able to enjoy delicious dinners with them. And the incredible staff were most friendly.

This place has really gone down over the years with the quality of health care. They use to be one of the best in this area for rehabilitation. Not anymore.
