If this was only for the floor nurses, rating would be 5! They were great taking care of my mom. Special call out to Rosa who spent a great deal of time in my Mom's room watching over her and keeping her safe. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and seemed to care. My only concern is the follow up communication. Everyone contacted me when Mom was admitted, but the promised weekly updates didn't happen. In fact , I learned when she was discharged that a follow up appointment had been scheduled for her surgeon the next day. Made it several days prior to discharge.

Based on my experience i would never recommend this facility. Our family’s experience was extremely negative from start to finish. We brought my grandmother here simply to regain strength in her back, and instead we witnessed what we felt like repeated neglect. We don’t feel her meals were monitored. Her call button was broken for over a week, and instead of receiving extra help to get to the restroom due to her back injury, she was put in adult diapers. Whenever we raised concerns that she seemed unwell, we felt dismissed and told she was “fine.” When she was finally sent to the hospital, we learned she had multiple serious infections. By then it was too late. She passed away shortly after. Our family is devastated and believes her decline could have been prevented. We feel that my grandmother deserved compassion, respect, and care. Based on our experience, she did not receive that here.

Management never passes trays unless state is in the building. The management cares more about the employees passing trays out for meal service than the actual care of residents. Even if we have a resident entirely soiled in the bed, they want us out there passing the trays or else we are side eyed. They want CNAS ONLY to do all of the passing & don’t care if the nurses do or not. Most of the employees they keep around are very lazy and do not care about the residents at all. The nurses In particular are not good people & will let residents wait for hours for morning medication. I would think twice before sending your loved one here. The facility might look nice on the inside, but the people they have running the facility are not good people & only put on a fake smile to state and families.

My family member was a resident for 3 months for inpatient rehab. I have to say Shayla RN, Stacy ST, Jessica MSW were all awesome. If Shayla wasn't working then we never knew what would be missed that day. The nurses don't always follow the orders that are written regarding nutrition or activity. I also was never able to get a hold of the DON for concerns either by phone or email. Their phone system was updated but it still is difficult to get a hold of anyone including a resident.

So far, I give them all five stars. At first, I was really concerned because their phone system didn’t even work properly, but I talked with the Director and he had somebody on it immediately and they are fixing it. My husband has progressive multiple sclerosis and has been in the facility for almost 2 months. They’re incredibly responsive to my calls, the food is outstanding, and he’s getting PT five times a week! My husband raves about the good food. And the care has been excellent—especially Lotti (one of his caregivers). It makes me sad when I see negative reviews. Nothing is perfect, especially when our loved ones are hurting and declining. But the responsiveness of Brandon Operations Director and Joe, vice president of operations (fo all facilities) have been outstanding. They even gave me cell numbers if I have concerns. So far so good! My Husband will probably be in this for the rest of his life, so if my opinion changes, I will post it. Otherwise, five stars all the way so far!🙏😊
