My mother entered the facility in July of 2025. She had lived in her home for more than 50 years, so it was a difficult transition for her, but she was 98 years old, we had exhausted all home care options and had no other avenue but in resident care. She is the mother of five, all of whom are involved in the care and decision-making process for her. Although I am submitting this review, I feel confident that my opinion is the same for all of us. Firstly, this is, of course nursing home care. None are perfect. However, our experience with Washita Valley has been very positive. There is always activity, nurses and aids moving around, residents going to and from physical therapy. I have found 98% if the staff to be caring and interested. There is always that one that looks as if they wish they were somewhere else. The building is not brand new, but they keep the facility clean and update when and where they can. I have recommended this facility to friends.
