IT is difficult to write a review in just a few words about Visiting Angels. I have the responsibility of managing the care of my sister who has numerous care needs due to her advancing age and CP….she is confined to a wheel chair, and at the beginning of the year was in the hospital for over a month, ICU, sepsis, C-Diff….after her release she went into a rehab faculty and during that time they changed her medications, did not provide her breathing treatments, left her dirty and lost all of her clothes. This was a place that when mentioned the name you would be shocked. Before this time I was considering looking for a long term placement for my sister. It has not been easy managing her life, as her needs are huge. Visiting Angels has been providing wonderful care for my sister for years. After this last experience with her hospitalization and “rehab” they have expanded their cares to include a near liquid diet, toileting, light housekeeping, shopping, Doctor visits….and most importantly are kind, gentle and caring when it comes to my sisters cares and emotional support. Having my sister remain independent, which is her wish, would not be possible without Visiting Angels. They have been consistent over the years, their follow up is excellent, their staff has been amazing. The cares that they have been asked to do are difficult, but they have a special way of letting the client keep their dignity….even when dealing with advanced medical issues. When reading all the horrible reviews on both rehab and home care issues, it is a pleasure to be able to write this review. Thank you Visiting Angels.

Visiting Angels were quickly able to work with us to provide caregivers ‘Angels’ to handle the daily schedule for 90 year old father. Enabling my sister who he lives with, to work without worrying about him getting up, eating, taking his meds, and daily Physical Therapy; allowed me to return to my home 300plus miles away after spending 2 months caring for my father after a medical crisis. Not only do we love our primary caregiver, my father is so much better having interactive company and staying on a schedule. Thank you Visiting Angels.

They were all too eager to take our money but they do not give you full names of the caregivers so that a background check could be done., and offered no photo of caregivers , they change caregiver that they say is coming at last minute. The caregiver scheduled to care for our family member never showed up and calls made to the company went to voicemail and no return calls were received. Your ill or vulnerable family member deserves better. There is a certain level of trust and professionalism that one would expect from this type of service that this company did not exhibit. I do plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and seek out other regulatory agencies that should be notified of their practices as I fear they could do harm to the vulnerable segment of our population that they are entrusted to care for. I hope this review leads you to make a better more informed choice when it comes to having someone come into the home of your loved one, check credentials and licensures.
