I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care that Sandra provides to my mom. She has truly been a blessing to our family. My mom has always been fiercely independent and doesn’t always prioritize her own safety — which can be a real worry for our family. Sandra understands this and takes it upon herself to keep a watchful eye at all times. She carefully assists my mom with transferring in and out of her wheelchair, making sure every move is done safely and securely. Whether it is helping her get up, sit down, or navigate her surroundings, Sandra is always right there to prevent any risk of injury. She also tends to my mom’s personal hygiene needs with great care, always preserving her dignity and treating her with kindness and compassion. What truly sets Sandra apart is the genuine connection she has built with my mom. Every day she takes the time to sit down and play dominoes with her, bringing joy and companionship to my mom’s day. It is clear that Sandra sees her role as more than just a caregiver — she is a true companion who brings warmth and happiness to my mom’s life. A testament to just how special Sandra is — when my mom was recently hospitalized, she could not stop bragging about Sandra to the hospital staff. For my mom to speak so highly of someone in that way says everything. It was a proud and touching moment for our family, and it confirmed what we already knew — Sandra is truly one of a kind. She is, without a doubt, the best aide my mother has ever had. We feel incredibly fortunate to have her, and her dedication does not go unnoticed. The main concern for my sister was fall prevention. During intake interview I myself repeated several times that before leaving she was to be assisted to bathroom then be helped to the sofa and be left with a snack and drink. This would insure her fall safety until her daughter arrived from work. The sitter left in a hurry leaving my sister in the bathroom. She did not plan her end of shift with the care and safety of my sister in mind. The management did not seem to care about this problem at all. As a retired RN I find this action disreputable.

Every interaction with Management and our caregiver was professional and compassionate. We had two different caregivers and both were wonderful. The Leadership Team was responsive and knowledgeable about the challenges faced by those needing care and the people that love them. We couldn’t be more grateful and pleased to have found Visiting Angels, Chesapeake.
